The preliminary round of the "2nd National High School eSports Championships" for the League of Legends Division is now set! 119 teams entered from all over Japan!

Mainichi Shimbun Inc. and Third Wave Inc. will host the finals of the 2nd National High School eSports Championship for high school students from all over Japan in December 2019. The pairings for the League of Legends Division Qualifying Tournament (online), which will be held on November 23 and 24, 2019, have now been finalized.

This year, 119 teams have entered the competition, surpassing the 93 teams that entered the first competition. The preliminary round will be broadcast live on Twitch and Periscope's official tournament account.

Eligibility: High school students residing in Japan


*Full-time high school, regular high school, multi-part high school, credit high school, correspondence high school, technical college, special training college, vocational high school, international school
*International students residing in Japan are also eligible to participate.
*Eligible ages are between 16 and 19 years old (birthdays between April 2, 2000 and April 1, 2004).
Participants must be able to attend both the preliminary and final competitions.
Teams of students from the same high school are eligible to participate.
*If you are a correspondence high school student and have a specific campus to which you belong, please enter only members from the same campus. If you are a student of an online learning course only and do not have a specific campus to which you belong, please enter only members of the same online learning course.
*The team captain and one of the starting members must be able to communicate smoothly in Japanese.
