The latest "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter" Episode 2 Blu-ray & DVD will be released! CD release and concert will also be held!

Blu-ray and DVD of the second episode of "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter," the latest in the series that was screened in theaters this summer, will be released on February 27, 2020 (Thursday).

Girls und Panzer" is a popular animation series that began airing in October 2012 with 12 episodes, followed by an OVA in July 2014, and a "movie version" in November 2015. The unexpectedness of a high school girl riding a tank to battle and the heartwarming drama drew attention and excitement, and the movie version was a blockbuster hit, grossing more than 2.5 billion yen at the box office. The movie version has been a big hit, earning over 2.5 billion yen at the box office. The town of Oarai in Ibaraki Prefecture, where the anime takes place, continues to enjoy the excitement of the show and attracts many fans.

The first episode of the latest OVA series, "The Final Chapter," was screened in theaters in December 2017 and grossed over 600 million yen at the box office. The second episode, a sequel to the first, was screened in theaters on June 15, 2019 (Saturday) and was also very popular.

The second episode of "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter" Blu-ray & DVD to be released this time will include the new OVA "TYAKI WAR! The Blu-ray special limited edition includes two bonus discs, which include the stage greeting at the theater, the 22nd Oarai Ankou Festival, and various other events. The special bonus features include cast and military commentary, DTS Headphone:X (the audio of the film), and much more.

Concerts will be held and CDs will be released!

It was also decided that the "Girls und Panzer Symphony Concert," featuring performances by the Tokyo Philharmonic GuP Orchestra and conducted by Hirofumi Kurita, will be held on September 19, 2020 (Saturday).

In addition, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a symphonic version of the play. A CD containing the performance will be released on March 11, 2020 (Wednesday). Shiro Hamaguchi, who is in charge of the music for Girls und Panzer, himself reconstructed the piece as a symphony in six movements, recreating the world of Galpan in music. The world's best orchestral sound can be enjoyed on UHQCD (Ultimate High Quality CD), a super high quality sound format.
