PS4's "New Sakura Taisen" unveils first batch of game information! Synopsis, stage, and Reiko fighters revealed!

Sega Games has released the first batch of game information for "New Sakura Wars" for PS4, scheduled for release in winter 2019.

New Sakura Wars" is a dramatic 3D action adventure set in the fictional "Taisho Era" imperial capital of Tokyo, and follows the exploits of the "Teikoku Kagekidan" as they fight against evil. The main character design is by Kubo Taito, known as the author of the manga "BLEACH" serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha). The music is by Kouhei Tanaka, who has provided many songs for previous titles in the series. The story will be written by Ishiijiro, who is active in a variety of media, including video games, TV animation, and movies.

The story begins in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, 12 years after "Sakura Taisen V: Saraba Aishiki Hito. The "New Imperial Blowout" led by Seijuro Kamiyama, the main character of the game, will clash with the "Descendents" who have reappeared in the Imperial Capital, as well as with the "Blowout" that has been created in cities around the world.

In this first installment of game information, we will introduce the game's synopsis, the stage, and information on the Reiko fighters.

Synopsis of "New Sakura Wars
It is the 19th year of the Taisho era (1912). In the imperial capital, Tokyo, the battle later called the "Descent of the Devil War" breaks out. The Kagekidan of the Imperial Capital, Tomari, and String Raising boldly confronted the threat, and the world was saved.

The brave Hagekidan, in exchange for their annihilation--

Later, the city defense concept of the Hagekidan was recognized around the world, and the "World League of Hagekidan (WLOF)" was established. The WLOF was established, and the WLOF was born in cities around the world. The flower troupes of each country competed in singing and fighting at the "flower troupe competitions" held by the WLOF and enhanced each other's power. The world was excited about the once-every-two-years battle between the maidens, known as the "World Hagekidan War.

Ten years have passed since then, in the 29th year of Taisho.

The Imperialist Hagekidan was revived in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, where the Hagekidan had long ceased to exist. The new "Hanagumi," or flower troupe of the Imperialist Rifles, also challenges battle, aiming for victory in the World Rifles War.

However, the peaceful competition between friends and comrades-in-arms suddenly changes from a "peaceful festival" to a "battle for the fate of the world" due to the appearance of the Descending Demon and a mysterious enemy who once again appears throughout the world.

Can the "New Imperial Blowout Squad" led by the new main character "Kamiyama Seijuro" protect the peace of the Imperial Capital and the world, and show justice?

The Stage of this Work
The setting of this title is Tokyo, the Imperial Capital of Japan, in the year 1926.
Twelve years have passed since "Sakura Taisen V: Saraba Aishiki Hito", and the streets of Ginza have evolved into a modern cityscape with a mixture of Western and ancient Japanese culture, and an advanced steam civilization.

The entire adventure part of the game takes place on a 3D map. Not only the interior of the Imperial Theater, but also the streets of Ginza, where the game takes place, are represented in CG, which is only possible on PS4.

The familiar "LIPS" and "confidence level" elements of the "Sakura Wars" series are also present!

Characters
Seijuro Kamiyama (CV: Yohei Azaue)
The main character in "New Sakura Wars". He is 20 years old and the captain of the "Imperial Blowout Squadron, Hana-gumi".
Formerly a captain of a special navy ship, he was transferred to the Teikoku Kagekidan and appointed captain of the new "Teikoku Kagekidan Hana-gumi".


Sakura Amamiya (CV: Ayane Sakura)
She is a 17-year-old member of the Imperial Blowout Squadron, Hanagumi.
She is a newcomer who joined the Hanagumi because of her admiration for the former top star of the Hanagumi, Sakura Shinguji. She has strong feelings for both the Imperial Blowout Squad Hanagumi, which protects the Imperial Capital, and the Imperial Opera Company Hanagumi, which is the emotional support of the citizens of the Imperial Capital, and strongly wishes to rebuild both.


Hatsuho Shinonome (CV: Marei Uchida)
She is a 17-year-old member of the Imperial Revue Hanagumi.
She is a shrine maiden and the signature daughter of the Shinonome Shrine, which has been in the Imperial Capital for generations. She was born in downtown Tokyo and is a genuine Edo (present-day Tokyo) girl who loves the downtown area, its festivals, and everyone in the town. She is usually crass, but is the leader of the Hanagumi, a group that everyone relies on.


Azami Mochizuki (CV: Hibiki Yamamura)
She is a 13-year-old member of the "Hanagumi," or the Imperial Guerrilla Army's Hanagumi.
She is a descendant of the Mochizuki-style ninja family and has prodigious talent in martial arts, tactics, and weaponry at an early age. She has been raised strictly since before she can remember, and strongly believes in the "108 codes" that have been handed down in the Shinobi village, and values the observance of these codes.


Anastasia Palma (CV: Ayaka Fukuhara)
She is a 19-year-old member of the "Hanagumi," the Imperial Guerrilla Force. Born in Greece.
She is a star in European theaters. After working for a number of theater companies, she transferred to the Teikoku Kagekidan. She has top-class skills in both singing and acting, and her looks allow her to play a wide range of roles, from male roles to sexy female roles.


Clarice (CV: Saori Hayami)
She is a 16-year-old member of the "Imperial Kagekidan, Hana-gumi. She is from Luxembourg.
She is an intelligent and pretty literary girl who loves to read books. She is very curious and learns a lot of things through books. Her real name is Clarissa Snowflake. She is the heiress of "heavy magic," a book-based magic handed down in the Snowflake family, a Luxembourg noble family.


■Reiko Fighter
Reiko Armor is a humanoid reiko weapon developed for use in anti-sorcery warfare, which is powered by steam and can only be piloted by those with strong reiko power.
The spirit fighter is a new framework spirit weapon designed by WLOF based on the old spirit armor. Compared to the Reiko Armor, the Reiko Fighter has a higher output of the Reiko mechanism. Since the spiritual power conversion efficiency was dramatically improved and the requirement of spiritual power for the operator was lowered, the aircraft was developed in many countries as a standard format to be adopted by each country after the Descent of the Devil War.


Reiko Fighter MUGEN
Kanzaki Heavy Industries' first mass-produced Reiko fighter.
Based on the development of the Reiko Armor Type 3 Mitsubu, it was designed and developed as an official Reiko fighter. It was also equipped with a supercharger. Reiko Armor Type 3 Koubu
This machine was developed by Kanzaki Heavy Industries with a view to shifting the framework from Reiko Armor to Reiko Fighter, and is based on "Mitsurugi Type 2," using Anshar steel to reduce weight.
However, the basic structure of the frame is not much different from that of the Mitsubu Type 2, and since it does not employ a Reiko supercharger, its total output and spiritual power efficiency are poor.
