Interview] "With Your Breath," the ED of the TV anime "Vanishing City," is a new step toward the next step.

The TV anime "Vanishing City" based on the smartphone game "Vanishing City 0" is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other stations.
It is several years after the mysterious "vanishing city (Lost)" phenomenon occurred in Japan. Takuya, who works as a courier for a living, is asked to take a girl named Yuki out of a certain facility and deliver her to a certain place. After taking Yuki out of the facility, Takuya is attacked by assassins one after another. Takuya tries to fulfill the request to deliver Yuki with the help of a rotten geek, but .......
The SPR5, a national idol group whose main regular Geek is a big fan, appear in the mysterious, serious and hard-hitting worldview. (played by Haruka), Akuri Onishi (played by Rena), and Hikari Sonoyama (played by Yua), who debuted last year as a group with the same name. Their second single "With Your Breath" is the ED song for the TV anime "Annihilation City" and is an up-tempo, breezy song with a somewhat melancholy atmosphere. The music video (MV) included in the CD+DVD version is filled with their "memories" of the past year, and is sure to bring tears to the eyes of SPR5 fans.
The C/W song "Yume no Mukoukougawa e" is a cool and danceable song that is titled directly after SPR5's catchphrase. However, from the chorus, the song changes to a brighter tone.

With Your Breath" is fresh, bright, and full of emotion

─ ─ "With Your Breath" is the ED song of "Annihilation City", isn't it?

We were really moved to have our song played as the ED song of the anime, and I think that the ED song, along with the OP, is very familiar to the fans of the work. We were given a great opportunity to have our song "With Your Breath" heard by many people, and I just hope that it will touch as many people as possible.

Iwai: When I heard the song for the first time, I felt that it was an anime song! I felt it was an anime song. It was such a great song, and since it was going to be the ED, I hoped it would express the world of "Vanishing City" and become a song that everyone would be familiar with.

Sonoyama: I think that many people will be reminded of the anime when they hear this song, so we will do our best to convey the worldview, the importance of the work, and the feelings of the people who saw the work.

Onishi The ED video is more SPR5 than I thought it would be. ...... (laughs). (Laughs.) The SPR5 is more prominent than the main characters, Yuki and Takuya, and is on full display. I was really excited to see Rena here, Rena there, and Rena there. Also, I was happy to see the Spreamers in the video, humming our songs! I'm so happy! It made me realize that SPR5 in the movie is really a national idol.

Naota: This is a serious film that asks the question, "What is true happiness for human beings? Naoda: This song is played after the main part of the play, which asks a serious question like, "What is true happiness for human beings? The song sounds fresh and cheerful, but in fact, it also has a strong will and a bit of sadness, so I think it is a good match. I hope that "With Your Breath" will lighten the mood of those who feel downhearted after watching the "Vanishing City" anime. Also, those who know us for the first time from the anime may imagine the stage of SPR5 when they see it in the anime. We have to perform even harder to live up to the SPR5 character that we have created for them! I think we should do our best to live up to the SPR5 character that inspired us.

─ ─ What is the point of "With Your Breath"?

Shamoto: My favorite lyric is the second A melody, "How was everyone's day? I like the second melody, "How was your day? I always want to deliver a song that makes people smile when they see our performance at a live concert, and makes them look forward to a wonderful tomorrow. That is the kind of song I always want to deliver. That is why I personally value singing and dancing. After the live performance of "With Your Breath" on March 17, 2019, I was listening to the song and posting it on social media. I felt that I wanted everyone who came to the concert to have a good time, but also to feel a variety of emotions. Once again, I felt that I liked the lyrics.

Iwai: I like that part too. Nami's catchphrase is "Your own personal entertainer." I hope we can be an entertainer for the Supremers, and I hope this song will be one of the sources of your energy. Also, this song is up-tempo, but I think it is the kind of song that quietly and warmly lights a match in your heart.

Onishi In the SPR5 timeline of the play, this is the first song after Rena joined the band. So I sang the song while thinking back to the first time I sang "Incomplete Notes" and the first time I met the members. The recording was filled with such feelings.

Sonoyama: When I first read the lyrics, I was very excited by the narrative. Many parts of the lyrics were very similar to my own feelings. That's why I wanted to make sure that the words were conveyed properly, so that the song would be more like a line than a lyric. I especially like the chorus, "I found it for the first time. I really like the chorus, "I found it for the first time, an unbreakable treasure. I really wanted to deliver it, so I was conscious of making the words grainy.

Naota: When I sang the song on the recording, I could really picture the faces of the Spreamer people when I performed it on stage. SPR5 Get You" and "SPR5 Love You" are also songs that are completed when the Shpreamers shout them out live. I thought the last song, "Sunset in the Sunset," was the part where I could become one with everyone, and it really was true when I actually sang it on stage!　I am very happy to be able to sing this song together with all the Spreamers.
