Capcom has released information on the dragons that will stand in the way of the wakener and the enhancements to armor in "Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen" for the Switch, scheduled for release on April 25 (Thursday).

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is an open-world action game that has sold 4.2 million copies worldwide (as of September 30, 2018). The game takes place on the Grancis Peninsula, a vast open-world world. The player, who becomes a "Sentient" after his heart is stolen by a dragon, sets out on a journey around the Grancis Peninsula in pursuit of the dragon in order to defeat it and regain his own heart.

The game offers a world of adventure that can never be experienced in reality, with fields that look completely different depending on the time of day, such as idyllic prairies and magnificent valleys, dungeons without lights where monsters may attack from the shadows at any moment, and healing springs that heal travelers with their dazzling light even at night. The world of the "Fountain of Healing" is a world that is never seen in reality.

This is the world of high fantasy that we all dreamed of, longed for, and were excited about when we were young. The Switch version of "Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen" will allow players to enjoy adventures in a world that until now has only been a figment of their imagination, whether in their living room or on the go.

With the game set to go on sale tomorrow, April 25 (Thursday), information has been released about the dragons that will stand in the way of the main character, the Satoru, as well as information on how to enhance your armor.

The dragon that will stand in the way of the savant
Even the people of the Grancis region, who are accustomed to the presence of demons in their daily lives, are in awe of dragons. As is the case in many fantasy RPGs, dragons stand in front of the player as an overwhelming presence in this title. When fighting dragons, be sure to raise your level sufficiently and have the right equipment and items to take on the challenge.

Drake
Among dragons, those with fiery amber scales and ferocious temperaments are called drakes. Drakes have been spotted in the southwestern part of the peninsula, and are said to be particularly powerful in the basin known as the "hunting ground of champions.

The drakes in the forest of demon fire are likely to be encountered early in the game, and if your level is not yet high, you may be annihilated. If you feel that you are clearly no match for the drakes, retreat as soon as possible. The red heart on its chest is its weak point, so you should be aggressive in targeting it, but standing in front of a drake is very dangerous.

Wyvern
Wyverns are dragons with scales that glow like jade and rule the sky. They flaunt their great dragon wings in the sky, and a single breath of their breath can bring about a violent lightning storm. It seems to pity humans who can only crawl on the ground. It is said that wyverns with more powerful wings stop by at the top of Sougetou, a huge ruin in the northeastern part of the peninsula.

▲Basically, they are more likely to fly in the air than on the ground, so when confronting them, you will want to prepare a job that allows long-range attacks. Since they spray gusty breath from above, you want to drop them to the ground as soon as possible to get a chance to counterattack, but the wyvern's weakness seems to be in a different place than the drakes...

● Wyrm
Wyrm is a dragon covered in cold, glowing amber scales that can manipulate magic at will. Dragons are highly intelligent, easily uttering human words, but wyrms are more intelligent. They do not like to fly, and they display their magical power without hesitation on the ground. It is said that the altar of the water god, located in the central part of the peninsula behind the man-swallowing waterfall, harbors a wyrm with extremely high magical power.

Unlike drakes and wyverns, wyrms fly infrequently and release a variety of attack magic on the ground in addition to their ice breath. While an attack magic is being chanted, it is a good time to take advantage of it, but be careful not to get caught in the magic's area of effect. It is also effective to prepare a means of silencing the wyrm to prevent it from chanting magic.

Dragons
The symbol of the destruction of the world. People feared its appearance more than anything else, and some even wished for its descent as a god. Humans are completely helpless in the face of the dragon, which shakes its huge body, soars through the sky, and spits out scorching flames. It is said, however, that only those whose hearts have been stolen by the dragon and who bear the fate of the "Sentient One" have the power to resist the dragon and stop its heartbeat.
On the ground, they use their huge bodies to attack with their arms and tails and rush forward. All of their attacks are highly powerful, and a moment's carelessness can be fatal. Use recovery items sparingly and thrust your sword into the dragon's heart!

Uldragon
The Ur-Dragon is said to be the strongest dragon tribe, with a fighting power that surpasses that of dragons. Their entire body is covered in scars, and their hard bones seem to be exposed on the surface. The flesh that remains in various parts of its body bears a bewitching, beating light, and it may be that someone's heart is embedded in it. If someone were to defeat the eerie and mighty Uldragon, his name would be heard around the world.


● Cursed Dragon
A cursed dragon that continues to be active even after becoming a corpse. It appears as if lured by the corpses of the Black Cursed Island and lays waste to all living things while spitting its foul-smelling breath. According to one theory, the cursed dragon's breath is so full of curses and toxins that even fresh flowers and foodstuffs are quickly damaged and wither. The cursed dragon can only be completely stopped by a single blow through the heart of the chosen savior.


■About equipment enhancement
Weapons and armor can be strengthened at the "Weapons Shop" with a variety of materials and money. The equipment's status grows as it is strengthened, so if you find that your attack and defense are not enough, try strengthening your equipment!

Various materials are needed to strengthen equipment. Some materials can be purchased at stores, some can be obtained as rewards from quests, and some can be obtained by killing monsters. The more powerful the equipment, the more difficult it will be to obtain!

Defeating Dragons and "Special Enhancement
In the Weapons Shop, equipment can be strengthened up to level 3, but in rare cases, the equipment of an enlightened person may mutate when a dragon is slain. This phenomenon is called "special enhancement," and the equipment is powered up to level 4! 　 Which equipment will be "specially enhanced" depends entirely on luck, but it is an element that should not be overlooked if you want to fortify yourself with more powerful equipment!

Special enhancements can be obtained by defeating Drakes, Wyverns, Wyrms, Dragons, Ur-Dragons, and Curse Dragons. If you are good enough to compete with dragons on an equal footing, you may want to go around slaying dragons to obtain powerful equipment. Equipment that has been specially enhanced will display a red dragon symbol on the equipment screen.

In addition, you can upgrade your equipment to a higher level on the "Black Curse Island!
In the large-scale content "Black Curse Island," equipment can be further enhanced. By talking to Baroque on Black Curse Island, you can "upgrade" equipment that has already been "specially strengthened" to a higher level. The materials needed for higher level upgrades can only be obtained on the Isle of Black Curse, so you will need to explore the island. Let's head out for more adventures in search of the best equipment!

In addition to materials, "rim" is required for higher level upgrades. Since rims are needed for various purposes on the Black Curse Island, not only are they obtained through adventures, but pawn lending rewards are also important. Let's raise competent pawns that can be borrowed by many awakened players!
