Musical "Arslan Senki" to be performed in September 2019! Comments from Hiroshi Arakawa (manga) and Yoshiki Tanaka (original story) have arrived, full of anticipation!

The popular manga "Arslan Senki" serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) will become a musical to be performed in Osaka and Tokyo from September 5, 2019 (Thursday) for a total of 15 performances, and the teaser visual and the first part of the cast have been revealed.

Arslan Senki" is a manga serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine by Yoshiki Tanaka of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" (original story) and Hiroshi Arakawa of "Fullmetal Alchemist" (artwork). Set in the fictional kingdom of Pulse, this epic historical fantasy depicts the growth and scheming of Arslan, a boy prince who has been forced to flee his country, through his journey to retake the royal capital with only a few companions. The comics are based on Yoshiki Tanaka's historical fantasy novels, which began publication in 1986. The series began serialization in the August 2013 issue of "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) and has sold a total of 6.5 million copies in its 10 volumes.
The first TV anime season "Arslan Senki The The second season, "Arslan Senki: Fujin Ranbu," was broadcast on Sundays from 5:00 p.m. on MBS/TBS, 28 stations nationwide.

The eight-member cast has been unveiled, including Tsubasa Kizu as Arslan, Masaru Kato as Daryun, Hidetaka Saito as Narsus, and Tatsuya Himuro as IGNITE-ZONE (Kuroko no Basketball).

In addition, the teaser visual released depicts the strength of Hilmes' grudge, played by Yu Imari (musical "Touken Ranbu" - Knot Hibiki, Hajimari no Oto - played by Toratetsu Nagasone), and Arslan's determination to become king, played by Kizu, which tells the spectacular story of the work.

Tsubasa Kizu (Arslan)

When I was selected to play the role of Arslan, I was both overjoyed and overwhelmed with the pressure of wondering if I would be able to live up to the expectations of the audience.
It is my personal favorite work, and to be asked to play the role of Arslan is the biggest challenge in my life as an actor, and I still feel like I am in a dream. However, I am sure I will make it a great one.
I will play the character of Arslan with passion, calmness, and sometimes honesty.

Masaru Kato (Darün)

I never thought I would be able to play the role of Darün.
Now I am anxious and under pressure whether I can be as strong as Darün, but I will do my best to be strong and manly.
I will cherish the world view of "Arslan Senki", love the work, and put my heart and soul into my performance.

Hidetsubasa Saito (playing the role of Narsus)

Narsus is a very important role in this story and work.
He has long hair, but I felt I had no choice but to play the role while handling the blonde hair, sometimes letting it flow, and sometimes eating it.
I will take good care of him and do my best.

Imari Yu (Hirmes)

When I heard that Arslan Senki had been decided, I was most happy to hear that Tsubasa Kizu would be playing the role.
