PS4/Switch/PC "Oni no Wailing Kuni" releases new trailer "Introduction Video "Character""!

Square Enix has released a new trailer for its new action RPG "Oninonakukuni," scheduled for release in summer 2019.

Oni no Wailing Kuni" tells the story of "life" spun by Kagachi, the main character who travels between this world and the next to save lost souls, while switching "Onibito," a so-called "job," in real time. The action RPG is characterized by exhilarating and strategic battles in which players switch between "Onibito" jobs in real time.

The trailer "Introduction Video "Characters"" has been released to introduce the main character, Kagachi, and the other characters in the game.

The Story
In a world where life flourishes through reincarnation.
People celebrate the life they have been given and pray for the next life.

Grief for death binds the living and makes the dead hesitate.
In other words, grieving over death is nothing but a taboo against reincarnation.

Therefore, people send the dead off by turning their sorrow into smiles.

But even the hearts of those who tried to forget their tears needed salvation.
Thus, one role was born - people called them "ikutomori," meaning "guardians of the departed.


They were the mediators between the living and the dead, between this world and the next.

The "Mayoito Mamoru" is the one who cuts off the unforgettable memories of the lost and sends them to the next world.
He is the one who touches the feelings of the living and the dead and respects their lives.

Kagachi (CV: Tomohisa Hashizume)
A young departed guardian who embodies the truth of reincarnation.
He believes that his mission is to connect human lives to the next life.
Therefore, he does not hesitate to end the lives of others with his own hands in order to accomplish his mission.
When he meets a mysterious girl named Rinne, he becomes entangled in a bloody destiny.



Rinne (CV: Mikami Edaori)
A mysterious girl who once appeared before Kagachi as a boy.
As time goes by, she appears in front of Kagachi, who is now a dead human guardian, looking just as she did in the past....
Kagachi calls her "Rinne," the name of a flower.



Kuroyasha (CV: --)
A mysterious black-robed swordsman with a forgotten past and a jet-black karma.
No one knows the true face of Kuroyasha, who is bound by chains of resentment.
Tossed about by the origins of his sins, he continues to wander in the darkness, relentlessly stalking Rinne in order to "release his hatred.



Kushi (CV: Takeshi Koyama)
Kushi, who gives the impression of being a carefree, bluffer, but is in fact an excellent guardian of the dead and a dependable leader of the young people. He is also Kagachi's foster parent.
He does not like to talk much about himself, so few people know his true feelings, but his love for his daughter Mayura is a well-known fact that he cannot hide.



Mayura (CV: Lynn)
A kind-hearted young guardian of the dying Kushi.
She is Kushi's daughter and Kagachi's childhood friend.
She values her connection with others, whether it is with the lost or the possessed Onibito.
However, this is also a factor that torments him as a departed human guardian.
The truth of reincarnation and the various contradictions that arise in it.
Mayura continues to be troubled between the dead and the living.
