SEGA AGES Virtua Racing" on Switch to be released today, April 25! PV introducing additional elements such as online 2P & offline 8P battles is also released.

SEGA Games began distributing "SEGA AGES Virtua Racing" for Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop today, April 25 (Thursday).

SEGA AGES" is a brand of re-releases of classic SEGA titles that faithfully reproduce them as much as possible while incorporating new additional elements not found in the original versions or previous ports, making them more comfortable and enjoyable for more users.

SEGA AGES Virtua Racing" is a racing game in which players select one of three different courses and aim for first place in a race while passing checkpoints. It is the first title to bear the "Virtua" name, and was SEGA's first full-fledged attempt at 3D. It was a huge hit, recreating the realistic world of formula cars in a video game.

The "SEGA AGES" version faithfully recreates the appeal of the arcade version for the first time, while updating the resolution and other features for the Nintendo Switch. The game also features two types of battles: online 2-player battles and local battles. The local battle function allows up to 8 players to play against each other on a split screen using a single Nintendo Switch.
