Shinkage no Kyojin" is an anime work based on the comic series by Hajime Isayama, serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), and is a dark fantasy depicting the battle between man-eating giants and humans, as well as mysteries and conspiracies surrounding the world.
Season 1 was broadcast from April to September 2013 and Season 2 from April to June 2017, and became a huge hit due to its overwhelming quality, including powerful action and tension-filled direction. The series has gained popularity around the world, and a theatrical compilation and a live-action movie have also been produced. The single includes 4 songs in total, and was written for "Shinkage no Kyojin" Season 3 Part.2 after 6 years since "great escape" was written as the ED theme for the second half of Season 1 of the TV anime "Shinkage no Kyojin". It is a beautiful and solid song that combines stillness and movement.
OCEAN" and "Saraba Rakuenyo", both of which are included as couplings, are also reminiscent of the world view and themes of "Shinkage no Kyojin".
In addition, "great escape (2019 new mix)," a new mix version of "great escape," is also included in the album, making it truly a "cinema staff version of the Shinkage no Kyojin soundtrack.
