Takara Tomy will release the second collaboration item between Transformers and G-Shock, Master Nemesis Prime Resonant Mode, on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Transformers" is a "Japanese toy" content created by TOMY (then known as Takara), and is based on the unique concept of "Robots in disguise" = "robots can transform freely into any object around us and hide in plain sight. After the release of the toys in the U.S. in 1984, the animation and comics became big hits, and in 1985, the toys and animation started in Japan, In 2007, Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay began a live-action film series in Hollywood, which became a huge hit.
Today, the character is very popular all over the world, with over 500 million units sold in more than 130 countries and regions.

This time, as the second collaboration item between TOMY's transformable robot character "Transformers" and Casio's shock-resistant watch "G-SHOCK," the "G-SHOCK x TRANSFORMERS" set includes a transformable robot figure and a watch. The collaboration between "Transformers" and "G-SHOCK" started with the two brands having two major points in common: both are powerful and tough, and both are world-class brands from Japan. The first collaboration item, "Master Optimus Prime Resonant Mode (G-SHOCK Set)," was released in December 2018 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the birth of Transformers and G-SHOCK, respectively.

The second collaboration item, "G-SHOCK x TRANSFORMERS Master Nemesis Prime Resonant Mode [G-SHOCK Set]," is a figure that transforms from a watch base into a robot, "Master Nemesis Prime," and the G-SHOCK DW-5600TF" watch set, based on the popular "DW-5600" model and designed with the black coloring of Nemesis Prime and Transformers motifs.
The transformable figure can have the watch attached to both the base and robot, and can also be transformed while attached.

Transformable Robot Figure "Master Nemesis Prime

Master Nemesis Prime" is an evil Decepticon character who looks exactly like "Master Optimus Prime," but in contrast is filled with evil thoughts. It features a black and blue-green coloring that seems to represent this.
The transformable robot figure "Master Nemesis Prime" can transform from a pedestal to a robot without removing any parts. By replacing the chest part ("Dark Spark") with the "DW-5600TF" watch, the figure can be transformed into a combined mode ("Master Nemesis Prime Resonant Mode"). In the combined mode, the watch can be "fully transformed" into a robot from its pedestal with the watch displayed, without removing the watch at all.
Other G-SHOCK Digital 5600/6900 series watches can be attached in the same way.
Not all G-SHOCK watches can be attached.

Robot Mode

The Robot Mode is designed to evoke the dynamism of the "Transformer" super-robotic life form, as well as the "stylishness" and "robustness" of the G-SHOCK. The design is based on the image of "stylishness" and "sturdiness" of "G-SHOCK. The watch also features a number of transparent parts to enhance the sense of unity with the watch.
The included "energy musket" weapon can also be held by the figure.

Pedestal mode (Nemesis Alter)

A pedestal that can display the watch and "Dark Spark". The design incorporates the mechanical, yet somehow organic, taste of the planet Cybertron, the home planet of the Transformers.

Watch "DW-5600TF

The black and blue-green watch, like Master Nemesis Prime, is based on the DW-5600, one of G-Shock's most popular models both in Japan and abroad. When the EL backlight is turned on, the symbol emblem of the "Decepticons," the evil army to which "Master Nemesis Prime" belongs, appears.
