The preliminary round of Sega Games' official professional tournament "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON 2" will be held on November 16 in Osaki, Tokyo!

Sega Games, Inc. will hold the "Sega Games Official Professional and General Players Mixed Competition "Puyo Puyo Cup SEASON 2 November Tournament" in the "Puyo Puyo" action puzzle game series, a Japan eSports Pro License certified title, on November 16, 2019 (Saturday) at It will be held at the headquarters of SEGA SAMMY Group.

This competition is a qualifying tournament to determine the finalists for the "Sega Games Official Professional Tournament Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON2 December Tournament" scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Asakusa Hanayashiki "Asakusa Flower Theater".

The "PuyoPuyo Cup SEASON 2 November Tournament" is a Japan eSports Federation's Japan eSports Pro License tournament, which all players who meet the eligibility requirements and abide by the rules are eligible to participate.

The competition is a mix of "Puyopuyo" series professional license holders and general players, and if a general player finishes in the top four, he or she will be granted the right to be issued a professional license for the "Puyopuyo" series.

The format of the tournament is a two-part preliminary league and final tournament. The first-place finisher from each block in the preliminary league will be eligible to participate in the final tournament. The final tournament will be played in a single elimination format to determine the rankings.

For professional players, the top eight ranked professional players, excluding those who have been seeded, will advance to the final tournament of the "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON 2 December".
