Sega Games official professional tournament "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON 2" will be held at Asakusa Hanayashiki on December 14!

Sega Games, Inc. will hold the "Sega Games Official Professional Tournament "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON2 December Tournament Final Tournament", an e-sports tournament using the competitive action puzzle game "Puyo Puyo", on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Asakusa Flower Theater in Asakusa Hanayashiki.

This tournament will feature a total of 16 players, including those who made it to the top 8 in the "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON 2 TGS Special Tournament" held in September 2019 and earned seeding rights, plus 8 players who qualified for the preliminary tournament "Puyo Puyo Cup SEASON 2 November Tournament" to be held in Osaki in November, for the final The tournament is an e-sports event with a prize money of 1,000,000 yen.

The tournament will be played in single elimination format. The best 8 players from the previous tournament will be seeded and placed in order of ranking. The best 4 and 8 players will each be seeded placement by lottery.

Players advancing from the qualifying rounds will be placed in the remaining slots by drawing lots, and matches will be decided on a two-win, two-set first-round basis. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top four players determined in the tournament.

In addition, the players who advance to the top 8 will be seeded for the next "PuyoPuyo Championship" final tournament and will be awarded "Championship Points" that will lead to the "PuyoPuyo Finals SEASON 2. The third-place game will not be held. Two players will be awarded the third place by the same percentage.
