Rumiko Takahashi's latest work, "MAO," began serialization in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" on sale today.

Rumiko Takahashi, creator of numerous hits such as "Ranma 1/2," "Inuyasha," and "RINNE on the Border," began serializing her latest work, "MAO," in the May 8, 2019 issue of Weekly Shōnen Sunday (No. 23).

In "MAO," a girl named Nanaka, who once nearly died, suddenly meets a boy on her way home from school in a place where two worlds intersect, and gets caught up in a fierce destiny.


To coincide with the start of the serialization, a TV commercial, a radio commercial, and a web movie have been created, all featuring Kappei Yamaguchi, the voice actor who played Inuyasha in the TV anime "Inuyasha," and Satsuki Yukino, who played Kagome Higurashi.


In the web movie, Inuyasha and Kagome explain "MAO. In the web video, Inuyasha and Kagome explain "MAO" and you can hear nostalgic lines such as "Inuyasha, sit! We hope you will check it out.

The 23rd issue of "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" is marked by the illustration of "MAO.
