PS4/Switch/PC "AI: Somnium Files," details the "Somnium Part," which invades the dream world of a key witness!

Spike Chunsoft has released information on the "Somnium Part" game system from "AI: Somnium File" (AI: Somnium File) for PS4/Switch/PC (Steam), scheduled for release on Thursday, July 25.

AI: Somnium File is a full-fledged mystery adventure game about a detective pursuing a serial murder case in modern-day Tokyo, a title presented at the Game Developers Conference in March 2017 as PROJECT: psync, The game is a hot title with game direction and scenario writing by Kotaro Uchikoshi and lead character design by Yusuke Kozaki.

In "AI: Somnium File," players take on the role of a detective in the Metropolitan Police Department's special unit, investigating a series of bizarre murders. The game progression is divided into an investigation part in the real world and a somnium part in which players enter the dream world of an important witness.

To enter the dream world, a huge machine, the PSYNC device, is used. In the dream world, Ivoo, who is connected to the protagonist's spirit, appears as a young girl and moves around on behalf of the protagonist. However, the subject can only stay in the dream world for [6 minutes]. The subject's deep consciousness is penetrated and various obstacles are overcome to find clues within the time limit.

There are several "mental locks" in dreams that close off the subject's mind and memories. Players examine various objects in the dream and make various choices to solve the riddle and unlock the mental locks.

Each choice has a specific amount of time to be consumed when that action is taken, and the player must be aware of the time limit of [6 minutes] to make a choice.
