TV anime "Ahiru no Sora" to air in October 2019! PV, cast information, and OP artists are all available!

The TV anime "Ahiru no Sora" will start airing in October 2019! In addition, PV, cast information, and OP artist were also released.

The "Ahiru no Sora" is a basketball manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) by Takeshi Hyuga. It has been loved by fans for about 15 years since its serialization began, and has sold over 24 million copies in total. The TV anime version is directed by Keizo Kusakawa, whose works include "Kaze Natsu" and "Fleet Konnichiwa". Animation production will be handled by Dio Media, which also produced "BEATLESS" and "Aho Girl.

An anime adaptation was announced in 2018, and now it has been announced that the broadcast date has been set for October 2019.

In addition, the anime illustrations of the main character "Sora Kurumaya" as well as the members of the basketball club of Kuzu High School, which is the center of the story, and the cast information for each character were also revealed at once!

The main character Sora will be played by Yuki Kaji, with Yuma Uchida as Momoharu Hanazono, Katsuyuki Konishi as Chiaki Hanazono, Noriaki Taniyama as Kenji Natsume, and Mamoru Miyano as Kaname Shigeyoshi, the captain of the scab high school basketball club.

In addition to this, an animation PV was also released! The opening theme song "Happy Go Ducky!" is sung by the pillows, a rock band known by fans as the "duck song" artists that Takeshi Hinata, the author of the original manga, listens to on a daily basis.
