The 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show is being held at Twinmesse Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture from May 8 (Wed) to 12 (Sun), 2019.

This event is one of the largest model and hobby events in Japan, held annually in Shizuoka Prefecture, where many model manufacturers gather. This year, a total of 84 companies + 2 organizations exhibited.

Following on from the first and second reports, Akiba Research Institute visited the "Invitational Day for Elementary, Junior High, and High School Students" to report on the booths and the students enjoying models.

By the way, if you are planning to visit the show, please be sure to see the life-size Tank No. IV Type H (the tank of the Ankou Team!) that appears in the "Girls und Panzer the Movie" on display in the South Hall. (It's the tank of the Ankou Team!).
It is a must-see for its realistic modeling that looks as if it could really start running.

Hasegawa

Hasegawa, famous for its aircraft models, has sculpted many flying mecha that appear in anime and manga series, including the "Macross" series products. These were displayed as new products.
On the other hand, the "JK Mate" series, which allows visitors to recreate the realistic life of a high school girl, was also on display. The wide range of products on display is sure to be a hit.

Fine Molds

The "Team 'Oni' Type 94 Light Armored Vehicle Super Kai & Unmanned Turret Specification" from the "Girls und Panzer" spin-off "Ribbon Warrior" and the "Protect Gear & Special Search Team Small Patrol Car" from Mamoru Oshii's live-action film "Beni i Megane" are just a few of the choices!

Sankei

The miniature paper craft "Sankei" exhibits "Miniatuart," a compact version of the world of Ghibli works and "Doraemon.

God Hand

God Hand, well-known for its nippers, again this year featured a cosplaying sister named "Nipako!
She was introducing nippers to the kids who came to the exhibition.

ECHOTEC

ECHOTEC demonstrated and exhibited a small ultrasonic cutter.
It is said to transmit vibrations to the cutting edge and melt plastic with its frictional heat, allowing for amazingly smooth processing, and once you experience its sharpness, you can't stop!
