A next-generation interactive VR attraction based on the theme of MonHun appears at USJ's "Universal Cool Japan 2020" event for a period of time!

Universal Cool Japan 2020 will be held at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka from January 21, 2020 (Tuesday), and will feature attractions from the "Monster Hunter" series for the first time in two years.

Universal Cool Japan" is an attraction event at USJ that brings together a variety of "cool" entertainment brands from Japan that are very popular around the world, and introduces their attractions to people in Japan and abroad. The event has been well received by guests not only from Japan but also from overseas.

The "Monster Hunter" series was recently selected as one of the four major entertainment brands to represent Japan at "Universal Cool Japan 2020.

The attraction will be set in the world of "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn," and will include next-generation experience attractions that make full use of VR technology. Details of the attraction will be announced at a later date. The attraction is scheduled to start in the spring of 2020.


Other attractions planned for this event include "Shinkage no Kyojin," the first super-sensory XR ride, "Detective Conan," which introduces new characters and a "story coaster," and "Lupin III," which will feature live entertainment with realistic action scenes performed by real cast members. The "Lupin the Third" live entertainment will also be available.
