Japan's Largest Otome Festival! The number of visitors to Animate Girls Festival 2019 exceeded 100,000, the largest ever!

Animate Girls Festival 2019 (AGF2019), one of the largest events for girls in Japan, was held for two days from November 9 (Sat.) to 10 (Sun.), 2019, involving the entire city of Ikebukuro, including Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, and attracted more than 100,000 visitors in this 10th anniversary year, the largest number ever! 127 booths of popular companies exhibited at the main venue in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, exceeding the 121 booths in the previous show. The main venue was located in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and featured 127 booths from 127 popular companies, including booths selling Otome games, anime, and other Otome-oriented content, as well as events and other activities.

The Fountain Square Stage, held every year at the Sunshine City Fountain Square on the first basement floor of Arpa, the specialty shopping mall, hosted 10 stage events of popular works over two days, which were enjoyed by many visitors.

In addition, many events were held in conjunction with facilities and stores such as the newly renovated Nakaikebukuro Park and Hareza Ikebukuro harevutai, making the entire Ikebukuro area colorful.

The number of visitors to the Ikebukuro Sunshine City venue was 44,348 (104% of the previous year's figure), and the total number of visitors including those to the town center was 100,355 (111% of the previous year's figure), making it the largest-ever event of its kind.

TSUKIUTA. illumination Tree

As a special project for the 10th anniversary of AGF, a collaboration illumination with "TSUKIUTA. The illumination will be installed in Higashi Ikebukuro Chuo Park. The tree, which was designed in the image of "Six Gravity" and "Procellarum," the two units of "Tsukiuta," was illuminated in Higashi-Ikebukuro Chuo Park.

Next Generation Festival 2019

On Sunday, November 10, Marin Entertainment's "Kashicomi" and "M4!!!! and AGF2019 official supporter unit "Amasashio" gathered at Hareza Ikebukuro harevutai for a special live event to mark the finale of AGF's 10th anniversary. The event was also live-streamed in real time and was very exciting in various ways.

In addition, original goods were sold in Nakaikebukuro Park in Toshima-ku, Tokyo, and a cast event was held.

At AGF2019, we held "Machinaka Projects" in conjunction with restaurants and amusement facilities in Ikebukuro, as well as at Toshima-ku Nakaikebukuro Park, Toshima Kumin Center, Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas and various other locations to liven up the entire Ikebukuro area.
