The popular animator "Sushio" has joined the animation director team of the theatrical version of "Promea!

Animator Sushio has been revealed as a member of the animation director team for the theatrical animation "Promea," which will be released on May 24, 2019 (Friday).

Promea" is a completely original work by Hiroyuki Imaishi, director of the TV series "Gurren Lagann" (2007) and "Kill la Kill" (2013), and Kazuki Nakajima, who wrote the script. The character design is by world-renowned creator Shigeto Koyama, who worked on the concept design for Disney's "Baymax," music by Hiroyuki Sawano, who has worked on numerous dramas and animations including "Shinkage no Kyojin," and art direction by Tomotaka Kubo, who worked on "Mary and the Witch's Flower. The title logo design will be handled by Masashi Ichiko, who worked on the package design for the "Evangelion" series. Sanzigen, which has produced many popular works, will produce the 3DCG part.

It was revealed that popular animator Sushio-san is participating as a member of the animation director team. He commented, "I can't get excited about this movie unless it's an Imaishi work! and showed his full enthusiasm for the work.

Mr. Sushio gained experience as an animator at Gainax, known for "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and has worked as an original picture and animation director on numerous animations. He became an affiliated animator at the same time that the director of this film, Hiroyuki Imaishi, became independent from Gainax and established TRIGGER.

After that, he was in charge of character design as well as animation direction for "Kill la Kill," the previous work by the Imaishi and Nakajima Kazuki duo.

In addition to Sushio, other excellent animators with experience in "SSSS.GRIDMAN" produced by "TRIGGER," such as Michelle Sugimoto, Mayumi Nakamura, Umi Igarashi, and Tetsuya Hasegawa, are participating as animation directors.

With the May 24th release date fast approaching, one cannot take one's eyes off this ever more exciting work!
