Local elementary school students were excited to see the latest Zoids, Frame Arms, and Shin Godzilla ...... hobbies! The 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show" report Part 2!

The 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show is being held at Twinmesse Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture from May 8 (Wed) to 12 (Sun), 2019.

This event is one of the largest model and hobby events in Japan, held annually in Shizuoka Prefecture, where many model manufacturers gather. This year, a total of 84 companies + 2 organizations exhibited.

Following on from the first report, Akiba Research Institute visited the "Invitational Day for Elementary, Junior High, and High School Students" and covered the booths and the students enjoying models.

Kotobukiya

Kotobukiya is popular for its mecha x bishojo kits such as "Frame Arms Girl" and "Alice Gear Aigis" in addition to the upcoming theatrical animation "Frame Arms Girl: Kyakki-ya Ufuna Wonderland". In addition, there were many kits of the "Yuusha" series, the original "Frame Arms," "Hexagear," and other mecha kits in the lineup.

TOMY Company, Ltd.

Transformers" and its roots "Diaclone," the lineup centered on robot toys. The popular "Zoids Wild" was also on display, and enthralled many children.
The children's enthusiasm for "Zoids" was especially strong! There was always a crowd in front of the display.























Doyusha

The centerpiece of the booth was the New God Phoenix from "Science Ninja Squad Gatchaman II! It made its presence known at the entrance of the booth.
Also, the plastic model of "Armoreden Samurai Trooper," which had been out of print for a long time, was reportedly being prepared for reprinting!
This is also something to be concerned about. Will the plastic model of the enemy side also be reprinted? ......







Tamiya

Tamiya is one of Shizuoka's leading manufacturers. What we at Akiba Research Institute are interested in is their mini 4WD series.
In recent years, users who were once children have been making a comeback, and for these middle-aged and older users, Tamiya is developing mini 4WDs with classic car specifications. Indeed, this is a goofy .......






In addition, there is a special exhibit called "How Plastic Models are Made. The machine was actually operated at the venue and plastic models were ejected on the spot. One plastic model per person can be given away, so be sure to take one as a memento of your visit!







Platz

From "Shin Godzilla" to "Galpan" and "Kotobuki Flying Squadron," Platz has a lineup that will make any fanatic drool.
Also on display were the products of the toy company "EF Toys Confecto," which is also the distributor of the "Shokugan" toy company. The quality of the kits was astonishing, and it was hard to believe that they were toys!
There was also a space for children to try their hand at plastic modeling, and many children were busy making models.
