Evangelion x Hakone 2020 MEET EVANGELION IN HAKONE", Wrapping Bus, Station Jack, and Stamp Rally Information!

From "Evangelion x Hakone 2020 MEET EVANGELION IN HAKONE," which will be held from January 10 (Fri.) to June 30 (Tue.), 2020, an advance wrapped bus service, a jack-in-the-pack at Momogendai Station, and a stamp rally will be held.

Evangelion x Hakone 2020 MEET EVANGELION IN HAKONE," a large-scale collaboration event between Odakyu and the popular anime "Evangelion" set in Hakone, will be held from January 10 (Friday) to June 30 (Tuesday), 2020.

This time, the event's original key visual, Odakyu Hakone Express Bus's wrapping bus in advance, as well as the wrapping concept of the Hakone Tozan Bus, the wrapping design of the Momugendai Station, and the details of the stamp rally have been announced.

Event Information
Evangelion x Hakone 2020 MEET EVANGELION IN HAKONE

<Period of the event
January 10 (Friday) - June 30 (Tuesday), 2020


(1) Key Visual


Popular characters from "Evangelion" will be dressed up in "Hakone Walking" style outfits. Unlike the atmosphere in the movie, the design of the characters enjoying the magnificent nature of Hakone in a rough style is a special design only for this event.
This illustration will be used in the design of the wrapped bus, limited-edition event goods, stamp rally prizes, and other items, creating a Hakone-like atmosphere.

(2) Start of Wrapping Bus Operation (Odakyu Hakone Express Bus)


Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus will start running the first Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus shuttle bus in the "Gotemba - Hakone" area (section: Tomei Gotemba - Gotemba Station Hakone Otome Exit - Hakone Togendai - Hakoneen - Hakoneen - Odakyu Mountain Hotel) from December 1 (Sun), 2019, with a design inspired by NERV Headquarters, which appears in the play. Started operation with buses ahead of the others.

In addition, from January 10, 2020 (Friday), the day of the event, express buses between Shinjuku and Gotemba/Hakone will also run the wrapped buses. The design will be announced as soon as it is determined.


(3) Concept bus wrapping design unveiled (Hakone Tozan Bus)


Hakone Tozan Bus also plans to begin operation on January 10, 2020 (Friday), the day of the event, with a limited run of five buses wrapped in colors inspired by the aircraft. In conjunction with the start of operation, real-time information on the five wrapped buses will be available on the bus location system.

(4) Wrapping design for Momoyuendai Station to be unveiled


Starting on January 10, 2020 (Fri.), Momugendai Station, the transportation hub for the Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Pirate Boat, Hakone Tozan Bus, and Odakyu Hakone Express Bus, will be wrapped in a Nerf Headquarters-style design with "Daisan Shin-Tokyo City Station" as a sub-station name. In addition, a large "Hatsugoki" figure measuring approximately 2 meters will be on display.

(5) Stamp Rally

2. Eligibility for participation
Hakone Free Pass, Hakone Kamakura Pass, Fuji Hakone Pass, and pirate ship and ropeway 1-day ticket holders
Hakone Kamakura Pass and Fuji Hakone Pass are discount excursion tickets exclusively for foreign visitors to Japan.

3. Distribution locations
Odakyu Line stations, Hakone Tozan Railway Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Tozan Bus Information Center, Hakone Kanko Boat Stop, Hakone Tozan Hire Gotemba Office (in front of Gotemba Station Hakone Otome exit), Tokai Bus Orange Shuttle Mishima Station Information Center, Mishima Station South Exit Tourist Information Center, some travel agencies

5. Prize exchange locations

6. Implementation details
Present the applicable ticket at the stamp distribution location, and one copy of the stamp rally card "Hakone Complementary Map" will be distributed per one ticket. Those who collect five or more stamps in the Hakone area will receive an original sticker, and those who achieve all five will receive an original clear file.

<About the distribution of "Trial Stamps".
Free "Trial Stamps" will be distributed at Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone-Yumoto Eva-Ya, and Momogendai Station.

The stamp rally card is different from the "Hakone Complementary Map" given to customers who purchase aHakone Free Pass, Hakone-Kamakura Pass, Fuji-Hakone Pass, or a one-day pirate ship/ropeway ticket.
The prize can be exchanged only for the stamp rally card "Hakone Complementary Map" and not for the stamp rally card "Hakone Complementary Map".
*The number of "Trial Stamps" is limited.

(6) Joint event with "Hakone Kowakuen Unessan


Hakone Kowakuen Unessan, an all-weather hot spring amusement park, will also hold joint events with the "Hakone Kowakuen Unessan," including the wrapping of the building, "Second Impact no Yu" from January 10, 2020 (Friday) to March 31 (Tuesday) and "Unessan L.C.L. no Yu" from April 1 (Wednesday) to June 30 (Tuesday). Unique hot springs with motifs based on scenes from the play will be on display.
