From "Mobile Police Patlabor" comes a 1/35 scale "Ingram Unit 1" as the first in the "Robo-do" action figure series!
From the long-running popular anime series "Mobile Police Patlabor," "Ingram Unit 1" will be released as a 1/35 scale fully articulated action figure in June 2020, and reservations are being accepted starting today, November 12, 2019 (Tuesday). The price is 17,000 yen (excluding tax).
threezero's "Robo-do" series is a moderately sized and highly cost-effective series that uses zinc alloy die-cast for some parts, providing not only a wide range of motion but also a comfortable weight and feel to the figure. It was announced that a new robot figure series, "Robo-do," based mainly on Japanese anime, will be developed.
The first figure chosen for the series is "Ingram Unit 1" from the popular anime series "Mobile Police Patlabor," which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2018 since the project began in 1989.
The 1/35th scale (23cm in height) movable figure features a zinc die-cast frame with nearly 50 points of articulation, and is made of ABS, PVC, and POM, with cloth covers for the elbows, wrists, waist, and knees to recreate Ingram's silhouette. The silhouette of Ingram is reproduced by using cloth to cover the elbows, wrists, waist, and knees.
The cloth is painted with threezero's signature weathering paint for even greater realism.
The "RoboDo: Ingram Unit 1" is also equipped with various gimmicks to enhance its playability.
The patrol lamp covers on both sides of the collar and the side covers on the right calf can be opened and closed, and a hand revolver cannon can be stored inside the right calf.
The right wrist can also be extended and retracted to allow the hand revolver cannon to be stored.
The cockpit cover can be opened and closed, and a pilot figure (Akira Izumino) can be placed in the cockpit seat.
In addition, the cockpit seat can be raised and lowered, and the bulletproof windshield can be deployed when the pilot's head peeks out of Ingram's neck. The patrol lamps on both shoulders are each equipped with a red and yellow LED that emit alternating flashing light (4 x AG1 button batteries required, batteries sold separately).
Included as equipment are a hand revolver cannon, a stun stick (extended and retracted), a riat gun, and a shield for the left forearm (which can hold a retracted stun stick inside).
Includes face parts with face guard raised as interchangeable parts, and various wrist parts in different poses. A RoboDo common action stand is also included.
The product is scheduled to go on sale in June 2020.
Good Smile Online Shop reservations will be accepted until January 15, 2019 (Wednesday) at 21:00, so be sure to reserve early.
