PS4 "Ryu ga Gotoku 7: Hikari to Yami no Yukue" Completion Announcement Report! The "Rise and Fall" talk with the gorgeous cast including Shinichi Tsutsumi, Akira Yasuda, and Kiichi Nakai also exploded!

Yakuza7: Where the Light and Darkness Go", a dramatic RPG for PS4, will be released by Sega Games on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Its completion unveiling was held in Ebisu, Tokyo, on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. The event was attended by Toshihiro Nagoya of Sega Games, the overall director of the "Yakuza" series; Kazuhiro Nakatani, who plays the main character Kasuga Ichiban; Shinichi Tsutsumi, who plays Sawashiro Takeshi; Akira Yasuda, who plays Namba; Kiichi Nakai, who plays Arakawa Masumi; Eri Kamataki, who won an audition for supporting actress and appeared in the film; and Sumire Sawa, who plays the main character of the game. Eri Kamataki, Sumire Sawa, and Iroha Yanagi, who won the supporting actress audition and appeared in the film, took the stage to talk about their impressions of the film and various episodes.

Toshihiro Nagoshi of Sega Games, the general director of the "Yakuza" series, first introduced the newly completed story trailer.

First, Director Nagoshi gave an overview of the content of the game, which is focused on passionate drama, along with footage of the latest story trailer that had just been completed. After that, it was announced that the theme song "Ichiban Uta" would be sung by Shonan Nofu and Yasutaka Nakata. The reason for the choice of Yasutaka Nakata for the new song was to add a new twist to the "Yakuza" series, which has a new main character. When Director Nagoshi was hospitalized for a heart ailment some time ago, he turned down the project because he thought he might die. He also revealed a passionate episode in which he asked the members of Shonan Nofu and Yasutaka Nakata to let him do the film, believing that he would recover from his illness. This is why Director Nagoshi was so attached to the song.

The main cast of the film then took the stage and introduced their respective characters. First, the new main character, Kasuga Ichiban, was introduced by Director Nagoshi, who said, "If Kazuma Kiryu, the previous main character, was a taciturn and tough superman, Kasuga is the exact opposite, with weaknesses, talks a lot, and his human side comes to the fore. Kazuhiro Nakatani, who plays Kasuga, said, "As the new main character, I was a bit preoccupied at the time of recording, but the "Ryu" team members corrected me in various ways during the recording process, so I was able to play the role without being so preoccupied or having any major accidents. I was blessed with such good friends, and I feel that I have something in common with the main character, Kasuga.

Next, he talked about Sawashiro Takeshi, the elder brother (wakagashira) of the main character, Kasuga. Director Nagoshi described Sawashiro as "one of the most important characters in the film," and said that he wanted him to be played by someone who would make the viewer wonder whether there is truth in every word or not, so he offered the role to Shinichi Tsutsumi, a big fan of his own. He said that when he heard that Mr. Tsutsumi had accepted the role, he was filled with emotion. Upon receiving the offer, Mr. Tsutsumi said, "I don't play video games at all, so I wondered what on earth he was talking about. But when he heard that Kiichi Nakai would also play the role, he said, "I'll do it," eliciting laughter from the audience. When he later received a large cardboard box with the script, he was surprised to hear that he would be working on such a long story! He also revealed an episode in which he started reading the script with the intention of memorizing only his lines, but was so drawn into it that he ended up reading it all the way through.

Director Nagoshi also commented on Namba, the homeless man who ends up saving Haruhi's life, saying, "The role is a bit unusual in that he is a homeless man with a fastidious nature. He is elusive and haughty, as if he is someone we just happen to meet by chance or by fate, or whether he is driven by profit or loss. In a different sense from Sawashiro, he is an important character whose true feelings are elusive, but also in a rhapsodic sense. In that sense, I thought Akira Yasuda was perfect for the role, so I offered him the part. And he really was perfect for the role. In response, Yasuda asked, "Do you mean a homeless person? He then said, "When I first saw the trailer, I was surprised and happy to see that it looked more like me than me.

Director Nagoshi then spoke about Masumi Arakawa, the leader of the Arakawa clan and Haruhi's benefactor, saying, "He is a character who appears at key points and moves the story along on a large scale. The person who plays such a role must have a presence that reminds us of what he is doing now and what he did in the past, even when he is not in the scene," he said. I am grateful for the good response," he said. In response, Nakai said of the character of Arakawa, "Nowadays, compliance is becoming more and more strict and people are talking about anti-social forces, but in the past, 'ninkyo films' were usually shot and seen by many people. What was most important was "ninkyo-do" (chivalry), such as giri (duty) and jinjo (humanity). I thought the composition of Masumi Arakawa as the gang leader who possessed such things the most and Kasuga falling in love with him was very well done," he said.

Finally, Director Nagoshi commented on the women played by Eri Kamataki, Sumire Sawa, and Iroha Yanagi, who won an audition for supporting actresses in the film and also appeared in the film, saying, "In the film, they appear occasionally in the hot drama and in the strong conversations between men, and they make male fans happy. However, it has been a longstanding issue that the CG characters in the "Dragon" series are good for the male characters, but not cute enough for the girls. But we have gradually gotten better at it, and I think we have finally gotten to the point where we can make them cute enough to be worth seeing.

After the explanation of the main characters, the audience was asked to answer questions about their own "rise to fame" episodes in the life of the film's main character, Kasuga. Kazuhiro Nakatani, who plays the main character Kasuga, responded, "This very moment is my rise to fame. Considering the time when he moved from his hometown in Hokkaido to Tokyo at the age of 20 to become a voice actor and struggled while working part-time, he said that the fact that he is in this situation now is like a dream come true. Mr. Yasuda responded seriously, "I feel that I will never be able to make it as an actor because I don't think I will ever be able to make it. Nakai-san, who is also a senior actor, responded, "In terms of acting, there is no such thing as rising to the top. If you were in school, you would have homework, but there would be an end. But an actor always has homework in the form of dialogue, and he has to keep working on it until he gets it right. I have wondered how long I would have to live my life like this. I don't think I'll ever make it, but when I made my debut as an actor when I was still a student and ordered a full set of beef bowls at Yoshinoya, I think I received envious looks from people around me," he said, drawing laughter from the audience. In response, Mr. Tsutsumi shared an episode from when he came to Tokyo and was treated to yakiniku. Being from the Kansai region, Mr. Tsutsumi had imagined yakiniku to be something like hormone, but one day, when he heard someone ordering beef tongue at a yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo, he thought to himself, "What, I'm going to eat something like hormone? However, when he ate it, he was astonished at how delicious it was, which made the audience laugh even more.

The audience was excited by the "rise to the top" talk.
