A demo version of the latest in the series, "Ryu ga Gotoku 7: Where the Light and Darkness Are," is available today! Plus, a new trailer and collaboration information!
Yakuza7: Where the Light and Darkness Go" is scheduled for release on January 16, 2020 (Thursday) as a legitimate sequel to the "Yakuza" series. A demo version of this title is available on the PlayStation Store from today. A new trailer and information on collaborations with popular brands have also been released.
The first title in the "Yakuza" series was created in 2005 based on the concept of "entertainment for adults. The series has gained popularity for its storyline, which is so profound that it is almost like watching a TV drama, and for its challenging elements that allow the user to freely explore the town where the story takes place. More than 10 games, including spin-offs, have been produced in the series, but in "Yakuza 7," the main character has been replaced by Kasuga Ichiban from Kiryu Kazuma. In addition to the well-known "Kamurocho" in the past series, "Isesagi Ijinko" in Yokohama will newly appear. In addition, many new attempts have been made, such as changing the battle system from an action to a command-based RPG.
In the demo version now being distributed, you can advance through the early stages of the game's story and experience battles that employ the real-time command RPG system. Before the release of the full version of the game, we hope you will try it out for yourself.
The new trailer released to the public is more than 10 minutes long. It shows the synopsis of the game, in which Kasuga Ichiban, who has been imprisoned for the crimes of Arakawa Masumi, the leader of the Arakawa clan, arrives in Isesaki Ijinmachi and fights alongside his friends. At the end of the film, a familiar face from the series, Kazuma Kiryu, also makes an appearance. In what way will this legendary criminal, who is known as the "Dragon of Dojima," be involved in the story? The theme song "Ichiban Uta," which plays throughout the film, is also a must-see.
Meanwhile, the details of the collaboration goods with popular brands that can be won with the raffle ticket included in the limited first edition of this work were also revealed. For details, please check the following.
