Mataro Ningyo Co. released "Edo Mokumekomi Doll Pikachu" on November 13, 2019. It is available in limited quantities at Mataro Doll Hall and its official website. The price is 12,000 yen (tax not included).

Mataro Ningyo is a long-established company that produces Mokumekomi Hina dolls, a traditional craft that has been handed down for 270 years, and is recognized by Kamigamo Shrine, the birthplace of Mokumekomi dolls, as the only authentic traditional maker of Mokumekomi dolls.

This time, they took on the challenge of creating a Mokumekomi doll of "Pikachu" from Pocket Monster. The skilled craftsmen went through a process of trial and error to express the cute roundness of the doll without losing the character's unique visual sense.

⇒Pikachu appears at Mistdo again this year! Tail and tapioca drink are also available! Pikachu Collection" will be on sale from November 15 (Fri.).
