SQUARE ENIX announced that the cumulative worldwide shipments and download sales of "NieR:Automata" (NieR: Automata) for PS4 (*1)/Steam/Xbox One (*2) have surpassed 4 million units.

NieR: Automata, produced by Square Enix and developed by Platinum Games, is an action RPG set in the far future, when mankind has fled to the moon in the face of an overwhelming force of alien "machine life forms". Players take on the role of "2B," a member of the newly organized android unit "Yoruha," and throw themselves into a fierce battle to retake the Earth.

Since its release in February 2017, package shipments and download sales have increased, and in February 2019, a special second anniversary edition, "NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition," will be released. The cumulative worldwide shipments and download sales have now surpassed 4 million units.
