Assassin's Pride," currently serialized in Fantasia Bunko, will be adapted into a TV anime in 2019, and a teaser visual has been released. Animation production will be handled by EMT Squared of "Arisu or Arisu" and "Love Tyrant" fame.

Assassin's Pride" is a light novel written by Kei Amagi and illustrated by Ninomoto Nino. It has been published by Fantasia Bunko (KADOAKWA) since January 2016 and is a popular work with a total of 400,000 copies in circulation. A comic book version by Yoshie Kato is also serialized in Young Jump Comics Ultra.
The story is a fantasy in which the main character, Kufa Van Peele, confronts his secret missions and his own destiny together with Merida Angell, a girl born into a duke's family but giftless.

Assassin's Pride" will be adapted into a TV anime in 2019, and a teaser visual has been released. The animation production will be handled by EMT Squared, which also produced "Arisu or Arisu" and "Love Tyrant.

Along with the decision of the TV anime, a newly-drawn teaser visual has been released.
The illustration of Merida standing in the dark and Kufa drawing her blade represents the catchphrase from the original work, "Show the world the value of a girl.
EMT Squared, which produced "Arisu or Arisu" and "Love Tyrant," will be in charge of the animation production.

The author of the original story, Kei Amagi, also commented, "At first, I took it as if it was someone else's business. But as the meetings and conferences for the upcoming anime adaptation progressed, my joy gradually became more and more realistic. The illustrator, Ninomoto Nino, commented, "To be honest, I am very excited about it. I hope we can enjoy together the many images that are created by the different media.

Broadcast schedule, cast and staff will be announced in the future, so let's first wait for the 10th volume of the original work, which will be released on June 19!

1) I learned to expect it like a fan. For me, "Assassin's Pride" draws me in with the diverse charms of its main characters.
Especially Merida is straight and hardworking and makes me want to cheer for her. I would be more than happy if such attractive characters could be conveyed through the animation.
