Grin if you know the intention! Ten anisongs from fall anime that you should listen to carefully and enjoy! 'Just Shut Up and Listen to Anime Songs! in Fall 2019"
Hello to all 10 million anime song fans in Japan. I am Hiroyuki Deguchi, a wandering bassist and DJ of anime songs and special effects music. This is "Just Shut Up and Listen to Anime Songs", a column that is too subjective and creeps in soundlessly around the time when the new season's anime titles are coming out. This time, it's the fall season of 2019.
This season, both the animation works and the songs have a very strong individuality. Currently, I have the impression that the gag works are the best. The sharp gags that make the most of the advantage of being a late-night anime are particularly amusing in the midst of the many recent works that have settled into a "nice cohesive style". The "prudent brave - this brave guy is too prudent for my TUEEE" is easy to understand and sharp, and this is, well, funny.
This is the kind of fun that "sticks with those who know what they are doing" and requires a certain amount of background knowledge on the part of the viewer (in the case of "Careful Yusha," a core view of anime, such as the context of otherworldly stories and the artwork of the episode, etc.). You don't have to understand it to enjoy it, but it is more interesting if you do. This kind of composition, which varies from small to large, has become a characteristic of recent anime works and songs.
For example, "Love Dramatic feat. Rokka Ihara," the opening song of the live-action version of "Kaguya-sama ga Kesshirasai" (The Lord of Kaguya Wants to be Told), was greeted with the reaction, "What? Martin sings an anime song? and "I see..." The flow of the song is so clear that you can't help but think "I see...". The flow of the song was interesting enough to make only those who know the artist Masayuki Suzuki grin. Masayuki Suzuki's entry into the anime song scene proved that artists who had not been involved in anime before actually had an unusually high affinity for anime songs.
This season, both anime works and anime songs stood out for their many "tricks that make them several times more interesting if you know them.
That concludes my impressions of this season.
After considering the impressions and examining various aspects, here are the 10 anime songs that I chose with great patience and determination!

How about it?
These are the 10 songs of this season: !!!!
This time, I selected songs with a somewhat vague underlying theme of "more interesting to know".
The interestingness of this song was clearly shown in the OP " Hajimete no Kakumei ! OP "Hajimete no Kakumei! is the OP of "Hajimete no Kakumei!
It is a fine song that seems to have all the good points of current ani-songs packed into it. The balance of the various elements that make up the song is so good that I laughed when I first heard it. There are various "mockery" in the song, which in turn makes it charming, which is also very neat.
The music was composed by Tomoya Tabuchi and arranged by Hidekazu Tanaka. The music was composed by Tomoya Tabuchi and arranged by Hidekazu Tanaka. The two artists, who are at the forefront of the current anime song world, demonstrate their creativity without regret, and their skill in putting together a high-dimensional piece of music, while going overboard in some places, is one word for taking one's hat off to them.
For those who compose or arrange music, this is a level that will make you say, "Oh, yes! and "Gununu" feeling.
Very good.
Gununu.
Next is " Flag Raising! Kemonomichi " OP "Fighting Spirit! Chemona Mask."
the previous cool "Dumbbell How Many Kilos Are You Motivated?" and "Ultraman Titus," the overly macho Ultraman from U40 who appears in the tokusatsu drama "Ultraman Taiga." This anime combines all the best parts of the recent "muscle boom" and the now standard "otherworldly" stories. It is interesting.
The singer is NoB, who is well-known to special effects song lovers. His aggressive vocals with a hard rock and metal-derived core are a great match for the work.
The voice of the chemomancer mask/Genzo Shibata is provided by Katsuyuki Konishi. He has appeared in many anime productions, and many people may be familiar with his voice as Gosei Knight in the special effects drama "Tensou Sentai Goseiger.
NoB is in charge of the OP "Tensou Sentai Goseiger" of "Goseiger".
If you are excited to hear "NoB with Chemona Mask (CV. Katsuyuki Konishi)," then you know exactly what I am talking about.
Incidentally, each Goseiger has its own unique symbol, and the Gosei Knight's symbol is a "lion. The above means that the Chemona mask has existed for 9 years (it won't).
The OP "Soul Flag" of " Salaryman in Africa " is a good, stable song, right in the middle of funk anime songs.
The combination of an upper brass section and a light Motown beat is actually a very standard arrangement in ani-songs. Funk arrangements have a high affinity with ani-song, and for example, Mr. Oishi Masayoshi has successfully incorporated the "blackness" characteristic of funk into his songs.
Worldwide, most of today's hit songs are based on funk, and the overall trend in music is toward black music. You can see the influence of this trend in the funk-oriented anime songs through this song.
Some of you may wonder what black music is, so please listen to "MAGIC TIME," the ED of " Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE.
The song is sung by "Sudanna Yuzu Yuri," a 1Vo2MC Hip Hop unit consisting of members of E-girls and Happiness (the name of the unit is based on the members' names, but it is amazing that it is pop and has a moderate sense of strangeness). The music is a pure reproduction of Hip Hop and R&B from the 90's, and the texture is completely Western music.
The best part of black music is the "pause" or groove that can be easily felt in this song. Regardless of whether the tempo is fast or slow, all black music is danceable because the pauses, or "groove," hit you straight in the hip. The reason why people in other countries start dancing as soon as they hear music is because they have been listening to black music on a daily basis since they were small children, music that makes them dance in a primitive sense.
It is easy to explain this when you actually listen to and compare the music, but it is very difficult to put it into words.
Anyway, I hope you will listen to the music and feel "Oh, it's black! I hope you will feel the same way.
Wild Side" of " BEASTARS " OP, which had attracted a lot of attention before the broadcast, was also wonderfully good.
The members of ALIEN LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL, or ALI, are all mixed-race children with roots in Japan, Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. The band's sound, which mixes jazz and hip-hop and is not at all Japanese in the good sense of the word, is largely due to the members' origins.
Jazz and anime songs have always had a strong affinity, and most classic anime songs are based on jazz. For example, "Tonchin Kanchin Ikkyu-san," the OP of "Ikkyu-san," is a four-beat jazz song.
Later, anime songs became mainly pop songs, and jazz anime songs faded into the background for a while, but at the end of the 1990s, "Tank!" from "Cowboy Bebop" made an impact by updating jazz anime songs. Wild Side" has the same sense of "the real thing has arrived" as "Tank! The originality of the sound is so strong that no one can imitate it, and it does not sound like an anime song at all. However, that is exactly why it is an anime song. It is interesting that it matches the work unusually well.
