Katsuhiro Takagi (President, Toei Animation Co., Ltd.) commented
Toei Animation is starting a joint project with Tsuburaya Productions as a new initiative. In addition to the video production techniques we have cultivated over the years, we are taking on another new challenge. We are sure that some people will be surprised by the combination of the two companies, and we will proceed with the production so that you will experience even more surprises through the images. Please look forward to it.
Takayuki Tsukagoshi (Chairman and CEO, Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd.) commented, "The Tsuburaya Productions name has become a symbol of our company.
We were looking for a way to bring the monsters that are synonymous with Tsuburaya Productions to a wider audience, when we came across this project, "A Tale of a Monster and a Girl". Toei Animation, the company we are teaming up with this time, is an animation production company with the oldest history and highest quality in Japan, and at the same time, has produced many masterpieces featuring girls that reflect the times. We look forward to this project, in which the two long-established animation and special effects companies will combine their strengths to create works for the world.
