The much-anticipated and much talked-about stage production "Bikkuriman: The World" held a production announcement at Lapin et Aro in Shibuya, Tokyo, on Monday, November 18, 2019, prior to the start of performances on December 24, 2019. The production will run from Tuesday, December 24 to Sunday, December 29 at Rokkoukai Hall in Shinagawa, Tokyo.

Bikkuriman: The Stage" is a stage performance of the world of Bikkuriman, which depicts the war between the Heavenly Saints and the Heavenly Demon Realm. During the war, Super Zeus uses the "Heavenly Demon Sword," which is said to unite the Heavenly Sacred World and the Heavenly Demon World, to hunt down the demons, but falls into Super Devil's cowardly trap. If the "Heavenly Demon Sword" falls into the hands of the demons, the world will end. Super Zeus, as a desperate measure, sends the Heavenly Demon Sword to the human world.

The production announcement was held on November 18 and featured Yuji Bessho (Bluem of Youth), Kon Arimura, Masanori Kobayashi, Young Min (ex-BOYFRIEND), Koharu Ito (Fluffy), Ryoka Oshima (ex-AKB48), Akiyoshi Kawashima (Hannya), In Jun and K (H5), Hikari Shiina and Mayumi Uchida (ex-AKB48) took the stage and talked about their enthusiasm for the production and episodes during rehearsals. When all the cast members appeared on stage, they talked about their thoughts on their roles, even though they had just started rehearsals.

Masanori Kobayashi, who has been a Bikkuriman fan since he was a child and was even crazy about collecting stickers, said, "I was very happy when I first heard about the role, but on the other hand, the character has a lot of action, so I've been practicing every day while getting bruises, hoping for my first action scene. I'm hoping for my first action role," he said, adding that he is seriously practicing every day. Akira Kawashima of the comedian Hannya said, "I thought it was a surprise when I got the offer (laugh). He laughed and showed his anticipation for his first challenge.

Film commentator Kon Arimura, who will also play the role of Super Zeus, said, "I love Bikkuriman so much that I wanted to do it someday. It is very difficult to make a stage or movie version of a well-known original work, but I think this is a work that can be enjoyed by both those who know Bikkuriman and those who are unfamiliar with it. I think it is a work that can be enjoyed by people who know about Bikkuriman, but also by people who are not familiar with Bikkuriman and can enjoy it with their families.

Hikari Shiina, who plays the role of Satan Maria, who left a strong impression when she introduced herself by saying that she usually lives in the "demon world," said, "There are a lot of middle-class lines, so I think this is a cool piece that will tickle my heart. The focus then turned to Ryoka Oshima and Mayumi Uchida, who share a common history as members of AKB48, and although they had performed together at events during the same period, this was their first time performing together on stage or in a play.
