PS4's "New Sakura Wars" features Sakura Amamiya's sword master, Hakushu Murasame! Video showing rough illustrations of settings by guest character designers also released!

New Sakura Wars" for PS4 (Sega Games) is scheduled for release on December 12, 2019 (Thursday). In addition to information about a new character in the game, Muraume Hakushu, a video showing rough illustrations of settings by guest illustration designers was also released at the same time.

New Sakura Wars" is a dramatic 3D action adventure set in the fictional Imperial capital of Tokyo in the Taisho Era, and follows the exploits of the "Teikoku Kagekidan" as they fight against evil. The main character design is by Kubo Taito, known as the creator of the manga "BLEACH" serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha). The music is by Kouhei Tanaka, who has provided many songs for previous titles in the series. The story will be written by Ishiijiro, who is active in a variety of media, including games, TV animation, and movies.

The new character, Hakushu Muraame (CV: Miyuki Sawashiro), is the sword master of Sakura Amamiya. She seems to be an impeccable woman, including her swordsmanship. In the introduction video, we can see rough illustrations of the characters created by Yukiko Horiguchi, BUNBUN, Fumikane Shimada, Noizi Ito, Shigeki Soejima, and Ken Sugimori.

Sakura Wars" was created shortly after I started working in the game industry, and I still remember the impact it had on me. When I heard about the reboot, I thought it had finally arrived. The character I drew, Hakuaki, is the sword master of the main character, but also has a mysterious side to him. I enjoyed drawing him because he has a different taste and worldview from the characters I usually draw. I am very happy to be able to participate in a title that I have longed to play, and I look forward to playing it with you all!
