New characters that can be called up with "Delivery Help" and new enemies that stand in your way! New information on PS4's "Ryu ga Gotoku 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness"!

New information about "Yakuza7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness" (Sega Games), the latest in the "Yakuza" series scheduled for release on January 16, 2020 (Thursday), was released today.

The "Yakuza" series was first created in 2005 based on the concept of "entertainment for adults. The series has gained popularity for its storyline, which is so profound that it is almost like watching a TV drama, and for its challenging elements that allow players to freely explore the town where the game takes place. More than 10 games, including spin-offs, have been produced in the series, but in "Yakuza 7," the main character has been replaced by Kasuga Ichiban from Kiryu Kazuma. In addition to the well-known "Kamurocho" of the past series, "Isesagi Ijinko" in Yokohama will newly appear. In addition, many new attempts have been made, such as changing the battle system from an action to a command-based RPG.

New enemy characters and some of the helpers who come with the "Delivery Help" function were revealed this time. Among the enemies, it seems that there will be many types that have not appeared in past titles in the series, such as bandits and wizard types. On the other hand, the helpers include a woman who provides food for the family and a motorcycle gang that knocks down enemies with their bikes. They all have personalities that are as unique as their enemies. See below for details.

New Enemy Characters

There are several enemy "lineages. Most enemies belong to a certain "lineage," and their strength levels (grades) are divided among them. In the "gang" lineage, the weakest is the "Color Gang," the strongest is the "Mad Gang," the strongest grade is the "Gang Ace," and the strongest grade is the "Gang Boss.

Gangster System

The "Gangster" lineage boasts a different kind of violence from that of the yakuza and hoodlums who do mischief in the streets.

Grades: from left to right: Color Gang => Mud Gang => Gang Ace => Gang Boss

The lower two types (Color Gang and Mud Gang) only attack with their fists, but the higher two types (Gang Ace and Gang Boss) fire guns without mercy. Since you cannot defend yourself against gunfire, buy all the equipment and recovery items you need when you see them.

■Military system

This lineage has a kukuri knife in its right hand and a bowgun in its left, and is capable of both long-range and short-range attacks.

Grades: from left to right: Military Nerd => Lonely Army => Yatsuzaki Commando => Arminator.

As the grade increases, they make full use of weapon-based techniques such as knife slashing, grenade bombing, and bowgun rapid-fire. At the highest level, the "Arminator" fires a beam called a "ray of destruction" from its eyes. Whether or not they are even human is a mystery.

New Helpers for "Delivery Help"

The "Delivery Help" function allows players to call in powerful helpers during battles for a fee. Following the introductions of "Killing Hell Basami Nancy-chan" and "Mr. Delivery Help Gary Buster Holmes," here are some new characters that can be summoned.

■Kiyoe Shirakawa / Skill: Madonna's soup kitchen

A pork miso soup (recovery type) service by a kind-hearted woman. The heart-warming pork miso soup restores the MP (mental points) of all friends.

▲Bukkomi no Taka / Skill: Vikaten no Mai (Dance of Vikaten)
The chief of a motorcycle gang will charge at you on his motorcycle. The heat from the tires has a certain probability of causing the enemy to suffer from the "heat-stricken" condition.
