On Saturday, November 23, 2019, RAGE 2019 Winter powered by SHARP was held at Makuhari Messe. Three Japanese representatives were selected at the " TEPPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2019: Japan Representative Round " held as one of the sections of the event.The three representatives will participate in the World Championships to be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Tokyo International Forum.

TEPPEN is a game app for smartphones launched in July 2019. Although it is a card game, the battles are not turn-based, but rather unfold in real time. Another major feature of the game is that many popular characters from Capcom's works, such as Dante, Ryu, and Mega Man, appear in the game.

In the "TEPPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2019: Japan Representative Round," a total of 16 players battled it out for the right to participate in the world championship, with tarakoman (first place), Taiga (second place), and Hayakeo♡jp (third place) as the winners. The above players were issued official professional licenses by JeSU (Japan eSports Union) and decided to participate in the TEPPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2019, a tournament to determine the world's strongest players.
