GRIDMAN," the second special event "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW02," which included announcements of a spin-off and stage adaptation, has arrived!

The second special event of the TV anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN," "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW02," was held on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Carutz Kawasaki in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

GRIDMAN" is a special effects program produced by Tsuburaya Productions and TBS, which aired 39 episodes every Saturday from 17:30 to 18:00 on the TBS network (excluding some affiliate stations) from April 1993 to January 1994. The story is about a 14-year-old boy, Sho Naoto, who is devoted to building his own computer, transforms into a new century hero, and confronts the evil forces that are trying to control the computer world. The anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN" was animated by TRIGGER, which produced "Denko Chojin Gridman boys invent great hero" and directed by Tetsu Amemiya, who also directed the same work.

The second special event "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW02" of the TV anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN" broadcast in the fall of 2018 was held on May 26 (Sun), 2019 at Carutz Kawasaki in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The second "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW02" special event for the anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN" was held on May 26 (Sun.), 2019 at Caltz Kawasaki in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Following the "01" event held in February, a report from the "Night Session" has arrived, featuring a full lineup of the gorgeous cast and many surprises.

The main cast members of the anime "SSSS.GRIDMAN" rushed to the venue for this event. With illustrations of their characters in the background, Yuya Hirose (Yuta Hibiki), Hikaru Midorikawa (Gridman), Souma Saito (Masaru Utsumi), Yume Miyamoto (Rokka Houda), Rena Ueda (Akane Shinjo), Ryosuke Takahashi (Samurai Calibur), Katsuyuki Konishi (Max), Aoi Yuki (Borer), Masaya Matsukaze (Vitto) Kenichi Suzumura (Anti-Grid Knight), Suzuko Mimori (Namiko), Akari Kito (Hass), Toru Inada (Alexis Keliv), Mayumi Shintani (Rokka Mama), and others appeared.

After a few words from the cast members, the venue went dark and OxT's vocalist, Oishi Masayoshi, performed the opening theme song "UNION" (TV size ver.). Tom-H@ck, the guitarist of OxT, had to withdraw from the performance on this day due to back pain, but Oishi's performance, carrying the thoughts of Tom-H@ck who could not make it to the venue, made the audience excited to the fullest.

After the opening, the reading play "Last Order" began. The stage was a noisy tavern. The four New Century Junior High School students, Rokka Mama, and Anti, who was brought in for some reason, begin to engage in idle chitchat, but there is something wrong with them. In fact, the waitress tells them that she is the new god in the world where Shinjo Akane is no longer around. The clerk takes him for a ride and transforms him into a monstrous creature. Just as the clouds were getting darker, Nanashi B, the monster that appeared in the 10th episode of the main anime series, appeared on stage. A battle that could not be seen in the main story of the series between the monster and the monster begins. As in the previous episode, the Samurai Calibur, which has become a "promise," also responds to the battle. This time, she supports him in the battle as an assistant weapon to Anti-Anti. The two were a perfect combination, and Nanashi B was defeated by their attacks, and their drinking session came to an end.

In the talk corner that followed, the cast members drew pictures within the time limit under the theme of "My original monster idea. The talk corner was a great opportunity for the cast and staff to get to know each other better, and Konishi's cleverness allowed director Tetsu Amemiya to show an illustration of "Calzdon" (named after the event venue "Calz Kawasaki"), which he had drawn in the waiting room on short notice.

A video message from a special guest, Marie Uchida, who sang the ending theme song "youthful beautiful," was shown on the screen, and she spoke about her thoughts on the work.

The second part of the reading play started next. The second part of the reading play was a gorgeous structure that allowed the audience to enjoy the reading play twice. Rokka, Hassu, and Namiko chatting in a karaoke box. At the end of "01", Namiko told Utsumi that "Hassu might like Utsumi". The Hassu in question says that Namiko is mistaken, but ......? Utsumi, Akane, and Yuta join the group, but something is not right. Yuta should have returned to his original Yuta after parting ways with Gridman in the last episode of the main anime, but for some reason, he has become a high tension character that is far removed from the Yuta of the main anime and from his original personality. Gridman quickly access flashes with Yuta and easily defeats Alexis in her Nanashi B form with a grid beam. However, this is not the end of the story, and Alexis in her original form appears on stage. The fiery Alexis is a far cry from her previous appearance, and Gridman is outmatched. Yuta is weak during the battle, but a slap from Rokka brings him back to his senses, and his personality returns to normal. Gridman immediately urges him to enter the access code, and everyone in the hall shouts "Gridman! and "Electric Light Superhero Gridman" unexpectedly appeared! With all the audience cheering him on, he successfully defeated Alexis. After the battle, Akane and Rokka decided to sing together since they had come all the way to karaoke. Akane chose the ending theme song "youthful beautiful. The audience was moved by this surprise performance that could only be heard here.

The live performance by Oishi Masayoshi of OxT was followed by "Yume no Hero" and "UNION" in their full versions.
The event concluded with the customary "Access Flash! by all the performers and the audience.

After all the performers left the stage, the audience cheered with anticipation when the screen showed the spin-offs of each comic book and novelization, as well as a stage adaptation scheduled for spring 2020.
The entire event was intertwined with the content of the reading play, and the audience was able to immerse themselves in the real world of the "SSSS.

GRIDMAN," which continues to show new developments one after another even after the anime has finished airing, we cannot take our eyes off of it.
