Square Enix has released a soundtrack viewing app for PS4 that recreates the Blu-ray music product "Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival Disc - the first and the last -" that was released by the company on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival - the first and the last -" is available on the PlayStation Store today, May 29, 2019 (Wednesday). The distribution price is 4,500 yen (tax included).

Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival - the first and the last -" allows users to enjoy the in-game BGM of the popular RPG "Xenogears," which was released in 1998, along with game footage. "Soundtrack Revival - the first and the last -" is a distribution content that includes both the video and the music.

In addition to 45 of the 49 tracks included in the Blu-ray music product "Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival Disc - the first and the last -", this special content includes a special interview with composer Yasunori Mitsuda and a special theme for PS4. Special contents include a special interview with composer Yasunori Mitsuda and a PS4 exclusive theme [Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival Theme]!　This is a special edition only available in digital format.

(Note: "Premium Musical Notes Xenogears Original Soundtrack Revival-the first and the last- PlayStation Plus Edition" is already available for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The content will be available from August 29, 2018 (Wed.) to October 31, 2018 (Wed.). This content is a special buy-out version of the PlayStation Plus Edition with a special interview with composer Yasunori Mitsuda and significant additional music (17 tracks → 45 tracks).

The RPG "Xenogears" was released in 1998 and is still very popular 20 years after its release.
This title has been fully supervised by composer Yasunori Mitsuda, who has remastered all of the BGM in the game with special attention paid to sound creation, and has reconstructed a total of 46 tracks as a soundtrack application for PS4, including 45 tracks based on the data recorded on the Blu-ray Disc and a special interview with Yasunori Mitsuda. This is the "Original Soundtrack App".
