PS4 "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn", new actions of the hammer & hunting flute in video!

Capcom has released a video introducing new actions for the hammer and hunting flute from "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn," a blockbuster expansion for "Monster Hunter: World" for PS4 (*PC (Steam) version to be released this winter) scheduled for release on September 6 (Friday).

The "Monster Hunter" series is a hunting action game in which players confront giant monsters in a magnificent natural setting. In "Monster Hunter: World," the latest title in the series and the first for a console in nine years, players become hunters who set foot on a "new continent" as part of a survey team and explore an unknown continent.

The latest title in the series, "Monster Hunter: World," is a record-breaking smash hit that marks a major change from previous titles in the series, with seamless movement between areas and various actions, display of damage figures to monsters, and the ability to join quests mid-quest.

The PS4 version of "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn," scheduled for release on September 6 (Friday), will not only add new quest ranks, actions, fields, monsters, weapons, and armor, but will also allow players to experience a further story that begins after the ending of "Monster Hunter: World, It is a large-scale expansion content that allows players to experience the volume equivalent to "G" in the series up until now.

In this third installment of the series, we will introduce the new actions of the hammer and hunting flute.

Hammer

Claw attack after tame attack
The claw attack is possible after a tame uppercut or a tame slap. When it hits a large monster, it can cling to it.

Reinforcement shot
A reinforced shot can be fired while tame is in progress. The tame state is maintained after the reinforcement shot. By mixing in reinforcement shots during the pool, you can expect to compensate for the gaps.

Hunting whistle

Weapon attack from clutch claw

Sound attack
After the ▲ attack, the echo attack can be unleashed, and the echo notes will be lined up in a musical score.

Melody effects that use echoing notes
When a melody involving echoing notes is played, an echo ball is generated at the place where the melody was played, and special melody effects are obtained by touching the echo ball. When the melody is repeated, echoing balls with the same or greater effect can be generated again, depending on the number of the same melody performed before the overlapping.

<Examples of melody effects
Self-strengthening [speed] & evasion performance UP
A melody effect using echo notes. Players who are touched by the Hibiki Dama will have their evasion performance increased for a certain period of time, and if they are equipped with a hunting whistle, their movement speed will also be increased.
