Nekopara" is a visual novel game series planned and created by illustrator Sayori, in which players live together with cute humanoid cats, which are creatures similar to but different from humans. humanoid cats, creatures similar to but different from humans, who come of age at one year and live a long life without changing their appearance. The heartwarming worldview of spending time with their masters and the cute visuals of the cats and their uniforms have become popular overseas, and the series has achieved a total of over 2.6 million downloads worldwide.

It was announced at BICAF2019, an anime expo held in Beijing, China on November 10, 2019, that the TV anime broadcast of this work will start in January 2020.

The broadcast will begin on January 9, 2020 (Thursday), from 22:00 on TOKYO MX, 24:30 on BS11, and 21:00 on AT-X.

In addition, a new PV and the theme song have been released, and in the PV "Anime Mamoniku Start Arc", the main characters are introduced and scenes from the beginning of the story can be seen.

The theme song information was also released. The opening theme song is the character song "Shiny Happy Days". The ending theme song is "Aroma of Sunshine" sung by Chocolat (CV. Yuki Yagi) and Vanilla (CV. Iori Saeki), which can be heard in the PV "Anime Mamonikku Start Arc".
