Doraemon Volume 0 (Zero)" was sequentially released on November 27, 2019, as the latest publication after 23 years since the release of Volume 45 in 1996. It became so popular that it sold more than 250,000 copies in just two days after its release, and a reprint of the book has already been decided.

Doraemon" was first serialized in the January 1970 issues of Shogakukan's "Good Boy," "Kindergarten," "First Grade," "Second Grade," "Third Grade," and "Fourth Grade" magazines. As a result, there are six different first stories drawn for different target readers of each magazine.

The "Volume 0" released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Doraemon contains the first episode of the six different editions, almost exactly as they were published at the time.

Volume 0" also contains "Doraemon: The Legendary Announcement Page" as it was at the time. The "Legendary preview page" is a page of previews for the first issue of "Doraemon" in which Fujiko F. Fujio, unable to come up with an idea for his work by the deadline for the preview page to be published in the issue before the first issue of "Doraemon" series, wrote a blurb that reads "Here it is! is said to be a notice without depicting the main character in a brochure called "Doraemon.

In addition, the legendary documentary manga by Fujiko F. Fujio, "The Birth of Doraemon," is also included in Tentomushi Comics for the first time!

Due to the strong sales of "Volume 0," Shogakukan has decided to print more copies. This will bring the total number of "Volume 0" printings to four. Currently, some bookstores are running low on stock, but the reprints are expected to arrive at bookstores in order from December 9 onward.

In addition, Masaki Tokuyama (Doraemon Room, Shogakukan), the editor in charge of the book, commented on the decision to reprint the book on the same day it went on sale.
