Smartphone game "Dragon Quest Walk" to be released in 2019! Official site, PV release & "Beta Trial Session" from June 11!

Square Enix has announced that it will release "Dragon Quest Walk," a location-based game for smartphones, by the end of 2019.

The game is a new RPG experience in which players take on the role of the main character as he or she walks through a real world that has become the world of Dragon Quest. The "Dragon Quest" that we have experienced on video game consoles will finally come to life in the real world!

In conjunction with this announcement, the official website and promotional video have also been released.

In addition, a beta trial event will be held on June 11 (Tue.) to allow people to play "Dragon Quest Walk" ahead of its official release!　Those who wish to participate in the trial session are encouraged to apply after checking the application guidelines below.

The beta version of "Dragon Quest Walk" trial event will be held!
A beta trial event will be held on Tuesday, June 11 to allow you to play "Dragon Quest Walk" ahead of its official release. You need to apply to participate in this event. Please apply from the player application page below.

June 3 (Monday) - June 5 (Wednesday), 2019
Number of players
20,000 players (iOS: 10,000 / Andoroid: 10,000)

Notes on Participation
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of openings during the period, participants will be selected by lottery.
In the case of a lottery, we will inform you of the result on June 10 (Mon.).
This event will be held only in the Kanto area.
(Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, and Kanagawa Prefectures)
Those under 18 years of age are not allowed to participate in the trial session.
