Franchouche No. 1 (Kaede Hondo) and No. 4 (Maki Kawase) held a sales talk show in Akiba! Zombieland Saga ZK CAFE" Opening Talk Event (Afternoon Session) Report

Zombieland Saga ZK CAFE, a collaboration café for the popular anime "Zombieland Saga," which aired from October to December 2018, opened on May 24, 2019 at the AniON STATION AKIHABARA main store in Akihabara, Tokyo! A talk event was held on May 25 to commemorate the opening.

At "Zombieland Saga ZK CAFE," there will be an original menu that can only be enjoyed here, newly-drawn copyrighted goods for sale, and a random mini character can badge as an entrance bonus. In addition, a "mini-game" based on a scene from the anime and a "request corner" where you can request a song to be played along with your own episodes related to the song will be available at the cafe.

To commemorate the collaboration, a talk event was held at the store on May 25, with Kaede Hondo, who plays Sakura Minamoto, aka "Franchouche No. 1," and Maki Kawase, who plays Junko Konno, aka "No. 4," on stage. The collaboration café also features a menu approved by "Drive-in Tori" (a.k.a. "Dora Tori"), a specialty restaurant in Saga and Fukuoka prefectures that also appears in the film. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, he was unable to attend, but the famous president, who also appeared in the anime, was eager to come to the talk event.

Mr. Hondo and Ms. Kawase had previously worked as food reporters for "Dora Tori" (*That experience is included in the second volume of the Blu-ray), so they were asked to report on the collaborative menu in a showdown format.

They were asked to do a commercial-style PR for the camera, and the winner was decided by applause from the visitors. The winner will receive a "full-color T-shirt," which has just been ordered and is not yet available for sale anywhere.

Mr. Hondo immediately offered a "Nice bird, Cococo-kun Parfait! Cococo-kun Parfait," while Kawase-san tried his hand at reporting on the "Tsumiagare" Pancake Plate.

Mr. Hondoh started to eat like a reporter on an information program, but he took too much with a spoon at once, spilling the parfait, and in fact, he said he was hypersensitive. He also said that he was actually hypersensitive. Because of these circumstances, his report was incomplete in any way.

Kawase, who had been encouraged by Hondo to "see a proper food report," presented a report in the style of a virtual date. Turning to the camera and the audience, she charmingly said, "Yes, ah ah ah! and flaunted her charm. As a result, Ms. Kawase, who made good use of the situation, won the contest.

Next was the "Saga dialect quiz. The two actors thought up the meanings of the Saga dialect words and performed an etude using the words.

An example question was "Narakai. Hints were given according to the situation, and here Ms. Hondo performed an etude in which she played the role of an elevator girl. At this point, the audience seemed to know what was coming, and when Ms. Hondo asked, "What floor do you use? The audience laughed out loud when Ms. Kawase answered "the seventh floor" to Ms. Hondo's question, "What floor do you use?

The audience laughed out loud at this exchange (the correct answer was "thunder"). The clue to the "ketakutai" question was found in the fourth episode, in which the members of Franchouche participated in the "Gatalympics. The two played a father and son practicing "bicycle" (?) and got the correct answer. They answered the question correctly.

The next correct answer for "Eska" was "scary. The two played the roles of a zombie and a person surprised by a zombie, but the audience's reaction was not good, so they went into a reflective mode. ......

The final question was "Nie" (the answer was "Smell"). There was laughter when Mr. Hondo did an etude of smelling Mr. Kawase's odor.

Next was a corner to answer questions from the audience, which were solicited at the time of admission.

The first question was "How have your impressions of each other's characters changed? The first question was "How have your impressions of each other's characters changed? Hondo answered, "I liked Junko-chan's character design, so I was curious about what kind of girl she was. I was interested in Junko because I liked her character design. I thought she was not a purist, but more of a storyteller than I had expected (laughs). I was very impressed by her singing voice! Ms. Kawase said, "Sakura was like a heroine, but towards the end of the story, she became distant from the other members and the tension changed. I felt that the atmosphere of Sakura changed a lot because of Hondo's particular way of playing the role.

What is the one thing that makes you stand out from Sakura and Junko as an idol? What is the one thing you can not lose to Sakura and Junko as idols? Kawase immediately answered, "I think I can beat Sakura and Junko in height and weight.

Ms. Hondo answered, "Sakura has a feeling similar to when I started my career. We didn't have any postrecording lessons at the training school, so we are similar in that we don't know what's right or left. He then commented, "If we played hide-and-seek, I'm sure you wouldn't find me because I'm smaller than you!

In the "special rock-paper-scissors" event, the winner of the rock-paper-scissors game would win a prize. The last two audience members left standing were presented with coasters autographed by Motofuji and Kawase.

In the last part of the event, the two gave comments of appreciation to the audience.

Ms. Hondo said, "It was a great memory for me to talk about my work and enjoy the collaboration menu in front of everyone like this. Whenever you have time, please visit here, eat, drink, and soak up the memories of my work!

Ms. Kawase: "Thanks to everyone's support, we are able to hold these collaboration cafes and live performances and events, so I am filled with gratitude to everyone. Thank you very much. I myself haven't had enough to eat and drink, so I hope to enjoy the cafe with you all!

The "Zombieland Saga" collaboration café will be open until June 23 (Sun.)! Due to its popularity, the collaboration café will also be held in Osaka and Fukuoka. Check the special page for details.
