The winning team of Week 1 of the Japan Official Preliminary Round of the eSports tournament "Predator League 2020" is determined!

Acer Corporation released information on the ongoing eSports tournament "Predator League 2020" on December 3, 2019, including the Week 1 winning team, distribution channel, and Grand Final date & venue for the Japan Official Qualifier.

The "Predator League" is an eSports tournament for representatives from each country and region of the Asia-Pacific region. The representative teams that win the qualifying rounds will compete for the title of strongest in the Asia-Pacific at the Grand Final to be held in Manila, Philippines in February 2020. The game titles to be used for the Grand Final are "PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG)" and "DOTA 2". The total prize money for the national and regional qualifiers and finals is $400,000.

In the official Japanese qualifier, the Predator League 2020 Japan Round, as many as 58 teams competed for 24 team slots during Week 1 (November 30 and December 1, 2019). The only game title employed was "PUBG". In addition, Week 2 (December 7 and December 8) will feature the top 8 teams from Season 4 of the official PUBG Japan Round, for a total of 32 teams.

The 24 teams that won Week 1 of the first preliminary round of the Predator League 2020 Japan Round, the official Japanese qualifier held on November 30 and December 1, 2019, have been selected.
