High-Speed 2D Mecha Action "Hardcore Mecha" Wins Indie & Developer Award at PS Awards 2019! The fourth downloadable content is also available today!

HARDCORE MECHA ( RocketPunch Games ), a download-only title currently available for PS4, was honored at the PlayStation Awards 2019 ( PS Awards 2019 ) on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 , with the Indie and Developer Award. The fourth round of downloadable content for the title also began today, Wednesday, December 4.

HARDCORE MECHA is a 2D mecha action game. The game follows Steel Dawn, an organization that has risen in armed rebellion on Mars, and U.N.F., a military organization deployed to put down the rebellion, as well as the main character, Talessar O'Connell, who is a member of the organization. The single-player game features fast-paced battles, cutscenes and effects reminiscent of robot animation, and the ability to fight other players. The game also features a multiplayer mode that allows players to battle with other players.

The title won the Indie & Developer Award at the PS Awards 2019, a ceremony honoring hit titles released on PlayStation in 2019. The award is presented to an indie title released in Japan and Asia, as well as to a title that has contributed to the expansion of the lineup of distribution-only titles.

In addition, the fourth downloadable content for "Hardcore Mecha" is available today. Two items are available: "Additional Mecha #4 [Thunderbolt OTOME]," which gives you new mechs, and "Additional Paint Set #1," which allows you to give your mechs a new paint job in multiplayer.
