Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is now available for Google's gaming platform STADIA.

NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. announced that it will distribute its first STADIA title, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, to STADIA, a gaming platform that Google plans to offer in the US and European areas beginning in 2019.

STADIA is a gaming platform that allows users to easily play games at any time by connecting their PCs, target smartphones and tablets to the high-speed Internet. The company commented, "We would like to make STADIA an opportunity for customers who have not been able to receive our games in the past to pick them up anew, as well as an opportunity for customers to experience high-quality games, which we have been developing mainly for home video games, for a greater amount of time. We would like to make this an opportunity for customers to experience the high quality games that have been developed mainly for home video games for a longer period of time.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the company's first STADIA title, is an action game released on PlayStation4, XboxOne, and Steam in November 2016 and on NintendoSwitch in September 2017 (*The XboxOne and Steam versions are only available overseas ). The game has been well received by a wide range of fans in their teens to 40s, and has sold a total of 5.3 million copies worldwide.

The company added, "This title also offers an avatar creation function and a place for communication through the lobby, and the online community among players is thriving, with players going to defeat bosses with their friends, showing each other pictures of their avatars, and so on. For these reasons, we felt that STADIA, with its extensive sharing functionality, had a strong affinity with this title and that it would be an appropriate first title for our company to distribute in conjunction with this entry into the market," commented Mr. Kuroda. The company will continue to distribute its titles in the future.
