Bandai and FromSoftware co-develop new action RPG "ELDEN RING" for XB1/PS4/PC!

Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc. and FromSoftware have announced the joint development and worldwide release of a new home action RPG "ELDEN RING" for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (release date undecided). FromSoftware will handle domestic sales, while Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc. will handle overseas sales.


ELDEN RING" is an action RPG jointly developed by NAMCO BANDAI Entertainment and FromSoftware, set in an authentic fantasy world where players can enjoy a variety of RPG experiences, such as exploring vast fields and conquering looming difficulties.


The world setting was jointly created by From Software game creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and author George R.R. Martin, whose best-known works include the fantasy novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire," which was once ranked No. 1 in the New York Times' fiction sales rankings. Martin, whose works include "A Song of Ice and Fire" and other well-known works.



The two companies' joint development efforts also include the "Dark Souls" action RPG series for home-use, which has continued to grow in sales since its rollout in 2011, with cumulative sales of the series surpassing 25 million units worldwide*.

The two companies said, "Based on the experience gained from these sales achievements, we will once again collaborate on the new title "ELDENRING," which is also being announced today. We hope you will look forward to it.

*Includes downloadable versions and downloads from the PC game platform STEAM. Domestic sales are handled by FromSoftware and overseas sales are handled by Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc.
