Hinomaru Sumo" is a coming-of-age fighting manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from issue 26, 2014 to issue 34, 2019.

The theme of this work is sumo, an ancient Japanese martial art and one of the few non-discriminatory martial arts in which those who are "big" and "heavy" are said to have absolute dominance. In the world of high school sumo, which is crowded with athletes of exceptional physique and talent who are known as "national treasures," the story depicts the small-bodied protagonist Hinomaru Ushio as the "national treasure Onimaru Kunitsuna," aiming for the top of the sumo world as "yokozuna," or sumo champion.

It was adapted into a TV anime in October 2018. Kounosuke Uda of "DAYS" fame served as general director, Yasutaka Yamamoto of "Actually I Am" fame directed, Norie Tanaka of "Bless This Wonderful World! 2" designed the characters, and GONZO of "Ao no Kanata no Forhythm" and "18if" fame was in charge of animation production.
