The road we have all run together to a new brilliance! A rainbow of nine colors colored the audience seats at the "Love Live! Sunshine! Aqours 5th LoveLive! ～Report from the 2nd day of the "Aqours 5th LoveLive!

On June 8 (Sat.) and 9 (Sun.), 2019, at the MetLife Dome in Saitama, Japan, "Love Live! SUNSHINE! Aqours 5th LoveLive! ~Next SPARKLING! ～was held at MetLife Dome in Saitama, Japan. Here is a report on the second day of the event, the 9th.

The school idol project "Love Live! Sunshine! Sunshine! Aqours, the school idol group that appears in the film and is made up of nine members of the cast, performed at the Tokyo Dome in November 2018 with great success and participated in the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen later the same year.

For their third performance at MetLife Dome, Aqours' Kyoki Inami (Chika Takami), Rikako Aida (Riko Sakurauchi), Nanaka Suwa (Kanan Matsuura), Arisa Komiya (Dia Kurosawa), Akatsu Saito (Yoh Watanabe), Aika Kobayashi (Yoshiko Tsushima), Kanako Takatsuki (Hanamaru Kunikida) (played by Hanamaru Kunikida), Aina Suzuki (played by Mari Obara), and Ai Furuhata (played by Ruby Kurosawa). And Asami Tano (played by Seira Kazuno) and Hinata Sato (played by Ria Kazuno) from "Saint Snow," which appeared as a rival group in the play.

This stage will feature the January 2019 theatrical version of "Love Live! Sunshine! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow" (hereinafter referred to as "the movie version"), which was released in January 2019, and performed a total of 22 songs, mainly theme songs and insert songs. Fans gathered at the MetLife Dome, which was filled to capacity, and at live viewing venues around the world witnessed the moving stage.

The opening number was "Bokura no ranjimichi wa...", a song inserted in the movie version. The song begins with the synchronization of Chika's turn and Iha's turn in the video. The first six first-year and second-year students appeared on stage, and the third-year students joined them in the middle of the song, which reminded me of the story.

The song "Thrilling One Way" was followed by "Aozora Jumping Heart," the OP of the first season of the TV anime. The nine members jumped on stage as their characters, full of energy! The winking of Ms. Komiya and Mr. Suzuki was also a part of the performance.

On the stage designed in the image of Italy, the stage of the movie version, the nine members changed costumes and performed "SKY JOURNEY" with rich emotion and "Daydream Warrior" with style. The sharpness of their dance moves and the expressions on their faces were also highlights of the performance.

After a comedic interlude, the three third-year students (Suwa, Komiya, and Suzuki) sang "Escape and Stray Mobius Loop" in party dress and "Predictable Driving!

The second-year students (Ms. Iha, Ms. Aida, and Ms. Saito) performed "Marine Border Parasol" using umbrellas, and the first-year students (Ms. Kobayashi, Ms. Takatsuki, and Ms. Furuhata) performed "Hajimari Road" with full energy. And the song "Hop? Stop? Nonstop!", an insert song from the movie version, was recreated with the stage stairs perfectly linked to the scene in the movie.

The middle part of the show was a furious performance of "HAPPY PARTY TRAIN," followed by "'MY LIST' to you! The audience joined in the excitement as the nine smiling and dancing members showed different colors in each song.

The nine members of Aqours left the stage, and two new shadows appeared on the main stage. Saint Snow appeared on stage. Instead of greeting the audience with "SELF CONTROL! The two, dressed in the costumes from the movie version, sang "Believe again" against the backdrop of the video. The audience cheered in awe at their electrifying performance.

The movie version of the film was shown and Aqours performed "Brightest Melody" just like the scene in the movie. The recreation of the famous scene was so moving that Mr. Suzuki said he could not hold back his tears. Aqours appeared on the main stage and Saint Snow appeared on the center stage to perform "Over The Next Rainbow" as "Saint Aqours Snow. It was impressive to see them all harmonizing with Tano's beautiful long tones.

After the song, the members one by one talked about their impressions of the live, how much they loved everyone, and how much they loved "Love Live! Sunshine! Sunshine!" and their wish to spread Aqours and Numazu to the world. The last song of the show was "Jump up HIGH! The last song of the show was "Jump up HIGH! The members were surprised and delighted as soon as they introduced the new song, which had not yet been released, and they were all smiling and excited while spinning their towels.

The audience called for an encore, and the "10th member," a fan, created a rainbow of nine colors with penlights. A beautiful rainbow of light appeared in the audience seats. It was a moment when everyone's thoughts and feelings became a sparkle, creating a spectacular sight. In the glow, AZALEA sang "Graduation," Guilty Kiss sang "Guilty! Farewell party" by Guilty Kiss, and "Sakura bye-bye" by CYaRon!

Just as the encore was about to end, the scene from the play was played again and the nine members of Aqours called out "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9......" on stage, which was followed by a resounding "10" from the audience. At the end, everyone sang the song "Next SPARKLING! The hands raised by Aqours with the 10th member will lead to a new future and a new brightness.
