E3 2019, one of the world's largest gaming events, is being held in Los Angeles, USA, from June 12 to 14, Japan time. On June 13, the second day of the event, the "Nintendo Treehouse" is being held, continuing from the 12th, where developers and staff will introduce titles for the Nintendo DS with actual device play. The content of the delivery is being made into videos one after another. This time, we will pick up information on titles of interest from these videos and bring it to you.

A new video of "DAEMON X MACHINA" was shown!

This title is produced by Kenichiro Tsukuda, who has worked on the "Armored Core" series. The main character is a mercenary who drives an aircraft called "Arsenal" and undertakes various missions. In a new demonstration of the game, Tsukuda continued his commentary from the previous episode. According to Mr. Tsukuda, "In this game, even if someone collapses, it is possible to revive them as long as the rest of the team is alive. In addition, using equipment called "mirages," one apparition can be created for each aircraft. If all of the companions use this equipment, it is said that up to eight people can fight together, including the main body and the phantom.

When discussing the element of human body modification, Tsukuda said, "I don't use it myself (laughs). In this title, the player's alter ego, the character, can be modified to further enhance his or her physical abilities as well as the performance of the aircraft that appear in the game. As the character is enhanced, he or she will be able to move at a moment's notice and perform a series of weapon combos, but the difficulty level has been adjusted so that the game can be completed even if the character is not enhanced. The appearance of the character changes dramatically depending on the enhancements, which is good news for those who prefer to play as a pure human being.

If you are interested, please watch the video posted below to hear Mr. Tsukuda's in-depth explanation of the co-op and enemy combat.

Don't miss the intense battle scenes in Platinum Games' new action game "ASTRAL CHAIN

ASTRAL CHAIN" is a new title from Platinum Games, creators of "Bayonetta" and "NieR: Automata. Set in the multinational city of Ark in the near future, the story follows the Neuron, a special police unit that confronts the threat posed by deformed creatures. Takahisa Taura, the director of the game, appeared on stage to explain the game.

In the actual game, the main scene was a battle scene using the "Legion," which is the partner of the main characters belonging to the Neuron. In this work, the player can direct the actions of the Legion. Legions can attack independently or attack the same target. This can also be applied to transportation, and this co-operation with the Legion is the most important feature of this work.

In the video, the "finishing move," in which the player pulls out the enemy's core as a stopper, can be seen. According to Mr. Taura, this attack seems to have the function of recovering the gauge needed to activate the Legion. If the finishing move is utilized, it is possible to have a long and fast-paced battle using Legion. In addition, Legion has five individuals with different characteristics, each with its own skill tree. It seems that the points earned in battle can be allocated to the individual of one's choice.

As the conversation progressed, we came to talk about an element called "Red Matter. The existence of Red Matter is a sign that the world of this work is polluted, and people who are near Red Matter become violent and eventually become enemies. He said that Legion can detect and purify the Red Matter, and the more they contribute, the higher their reputation as police will be.

Platinum Games' signature action scenes can be seen throughout the game. The high-speed battles and flashy action using Legion are a must-see.

Some aspects of school life in "Fire Emblem: Fuuka Yukigetsu," the latest in the Fire Emblem series, were also revealed.

The "Fire Emblem" series boasts strong popularity as a simulation RPG. The latest title in the series is "Fire Emblem: Flowers, Flowers, Snow, and Moon. The main character is a teacher who teaches and trains students at a military academy. A new trailer was released the day before the game, revealing that the story of the game is divided into two parts, and that the story branches depending on which class the player is in charge of.

The actual play starts with the main character at the military academy. The site is quite large, and we were able to see not only the facilities, but also a pond, a pier, and a windmill. There is a fast-travel function that allows the user to go from one facility to another in an instant, so there seems to be no need to worry about getting around.

In addition, there is a mini-map in the upper right corner of the screen, with speech bubbles and "! icons. If you talk to the person with the balloon, a conversation with a choice will occur. When the choice was made, an icon of the other person with a heart appeared, suggesting that a liking system was in place! icon appeared, it seemed that a quest could be received by talking to the person with the icon.

In the upper left corner of the screen, we could see the date, the necessary steps to advance the story, and "Professor Level. Since the main character is a teacher, his rank may change depending on his behavior at the academy.

After the activities at the academy, the next step was the battle. The battle system is the same as in the previous "Fire Emblem" series, where the player fights enemies while moving around a grid-like map. In the battle scene, many professions could be seen, such as the cavalryman, who has excellent mobility, and the archer, who can attack enemies in distant squares. In addition, there are drawbridges and gimmicks used, which will have a significant impact on tactics. It should be noted that it appears that the animation during combat can be skipped.

This video does not have Japanese commentary or interpretation, but it gives a glimpse of the basic aspects of the game, such as life at the military academy and combat. Please check it out.
