AE & CE versions of "Darius Cosmic Collection" will be released as DL software for PS4 in March 2020.

TAITO Corporation will release "Darius Cosmic Collection" Arcade Edition ("AE Edition") and Consumer Edition ("CE Edition") as download-only software for PlayStation 4 in March 2020.

The "Darius" series of side-scrolling shooters first appeared as an arcade game in 1986, and was much talked about for its innovative design at the time, which included a large chassis with three interconnected screens and a sound system with bass speakers built into the bench seat. The boss characters in the game, which were based on aquatic creatures such as coelacanths and sperm whales, are still popular today as synonymous with the "Darius" series.

This title includes three titles new to the CE version: "DARIUS PLUS (PC Engine)," "SUPER NOVA (SUPER NES)," and "SAGAIA (GENESIS)," as well as new gadgets and new modes. The AE version will also include new gadgets and additional new modes.

In addition, users who have already purchased the "Darius Cosmic Collection" Special Edition, Normal Edition, and CE Edition for Nintendo Switch will receive a free update with additional features when the downloadable software for PlayStation 4 becomes available.
