Interview] New Single "Hoshi ga Furu Yume" and Aoi Eir in 2019

On November 27, 2019, Aoi Eir released "Hoshi ga Furu Yume", the ending theme for the TV anime "Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Monster Front Babylonia-". Prior to the release of the CD, "Aoi Eir LIVE HOUSE TOUR 2019 ~Hoshi ga Furueru Yume~" was held in 7 cities across Japan and ended with great success.
In this interview, we talk about her new single "Hoshi ga Furu Yume" and look back on her activities over the past year. What kind of year was 2019 for Aoi Eir?

I was able to relax and sing on the live house tour in November!

─ ─ From November 3 to 22, "Aoi Eir LIVE HOUSE TOUR 2019 ~Hoshi ga Furu Yume~" was held. How was this tour?

Aoi It was a very enjoyable tour. It was a tour that challenged me to create a setlist and performance that would create a sense of unity with the audience, and the atmosphere created by the staff was great, so I was able to relax and sing. I think I had a lot of smiles on my face when I was singing.

─ ─ The live report has been uploaded on the Internet, and I could feel from the pictures that you seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere.

Aoi: This tour has made me realize many things. For example, I realized that if I worked on my broad back muscles before each concert, my posture would improve and my lungs would expand, making it easier to sing, and this became a routine for each concert. I also found that taking care not to lift my shoulders and moving my shoulder blades relaxed my shoulders and was good for my throat. I paid attention to keeping my body in good condition.

─ ─ It is important to be physically fit for live performances, isn't it?

Aoi I think it is very important. There are many things to be aware of, so I checked each of them before going to the concert. The same goes for "nasal resonance"; singing with the resonance of the nose helps to protect the throat. Thanks to this, I was able to complete this tour in good condition without losing my voice.

─ ─ I always think that it is amazing to sing for two or three hours in a live performance.

Aoi: In addition, the set list this time featured intense songs in the beginning, so I had to concentrate from the beginning. I am not the type of person who sweats a lot, but I was soaking wet with sweat from my neck to my hair. The audience was happy, calling it a "killer set list," but I was also strangling myself (laughs). But I guess the adrenaline from the pain made me concentrate and enjoy the show.

─ ─ So the "murderous setlist" worked.

Aoi It seems so, and I am glad that I was able to bring out more of my personal side in my MC than I did in the previous "Fragment oF" tour. I was able to speak at a more relaxed pace.
