The last day of E3 2019! Can you enjoy rice farming as well as battles? Pick up "Tenho no Sakunahime" and other tidbits of interest for June 14!

E3 2019, one of the world's largest gaming events, is being held in Los Angeles, USA, from June 12 to 14, Japan time. The final day of the event, June 14, was as successful as ever. Let us introduce some of the highlights from the final day of the event.

A video showing how to play "Amaho no Sakunahime" on an actual console!

In the "Nintendo Treehouse," where various Nintendo related titles are introduced with developers and actual game consoles, Marvelous' Japanese-style action RPG "Tenho no Sakunahime" was featured. The main character in this title is Sakuna, the god of war and fertility. She spends her days in self-indulgence in the city where the gods live, until a blunder forces her to live in harmony with humans on an island ruled by demons.

In the actual game, we first go to the 2D action scene where we control Sakuna to fight. The action was quite light, and Sakuna's movements were quick, making it easy to string together combos. In addition to attacks, the player can extend his robe of feathers to grab an object in the distance and move forward at high speed. When asked if the season had any significance in the game, the developer said, "It affects rice cultivation and the vegetables available in the dungeon differ depending on the season. Also, it is said that weapons such as swords and spears do not appear in this work, but tools used since ancient times in Japan are provided.

After defeating a huge boss, the player enters the world map. When you go to the place marked "HOME," you enter a village depicted in 3D, a complete change from 2D. The village was home to a variety of people, including houses with straw roofs and rice paddies. Perhaps because it was evening, the setting sun shone brightly on the ears of rice and the trees.

In addition to fighting enemies, rice cultivation in the village is also an important element of this game, and the quality of the harvested rice directly affects the strength of Sakuna, the god of fertility. The quality of the harvested rice is directly related to the strength of Sakuna, the god of fertility. The developer himself was so enthusiastic about the farming part of the game that he visited local museums around Japan and used a rice-growing kit for children to learn how to grow rice. It seems that we can look forward to not only the action but also the rice farming.

Other aspects of the project were also delved into, such as enhancement elements, cooking and eating at private homes, and many more.

Adventure in rhythm! Cadence of Hyrule" is now on sale!

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of Necrodancer feat. The Legend of Zelda," which is localized into Japanese by Spike Chunsoft, went on sale today, June 14. Information about the title itself was announced during the Nintendo Direct E3 2019, which was delivered on June 12 at E3 2019, and the release date was also revealed there.

This title is the result of a collaboration between "Crypt of Necrodancer" ("Necrodancer"), which was released in April 2015, and one of Nintendo's signature titles, "The Legend of Zelda" series. In this game, players take control of Cadence, the protagonist of "Necrodancer," and Link and Zelda, both familiar characters from "The Legend of Zelda," and embark on an adventure to save the Kingdom of Hyrule, which has been taken over by a traveler named Octavo.

When encountering enemies, a "Beat Force" appears at the bottom of the screen. The player must act in accordance with the beat, as the enemies move with each beat. The battle progresses in real time, so if the player does not move, the enemy will do as he pleases. There seem to be certain rules for the enemy's movements. Depending on the situation, there may be an option to not dare to act.

Due to the nature of this roguelike RPG, the structure of the world changes each time you start the game. The unique puzzle solving of "The Legend of Zelda" as well as the rhythmic feel of "Necrodancer" can be enjoyed with a fresh mind at all times. Two players can also play cooperatively by splitting a single screen, so if you get stuck, you can ask someone to help you out.

In conjunction with the launch, the official launch trailer has been released, so if you're interested in the game, be sure to check it out.

The 2019 E3 will close on June 14.

While we were excited to see completely new titles such as "Cyberpunk 2077," featuring actor Keanu Reeves, and From Software's "ELDEN RING," we also saw reboots of past classics such as "Final Fantasy VII Remake."

Sony, which has long been a pillar of E3, did not participate in this year's show, but the excitement was so great that this concern was put to rest. Let's wait with baited breath to see what they have in store for us next.

The 2020 E3 is scheduled to be held from June 10 to 12, 2020 (Japan time).
